Good Morning buddys!!! Hope everyones  weekend went well, hope you had some fun and got to relax.  Not sure about your weather but we have had rain straight for 3 days.  Not to mention about 3 more days last week.  The ground is drenched, and we are actually seeing green grass once again

I’m been praying for all those in the line of the hurricanes.  I know a couple who have been through it, and thank God they are ok “sigh”

Had a great weekend.  My daughters babyshower was such fun.  She received soooooooooooo many gifts!!!

Lots of good food.  I did behave myself

though.  Had a 1/2 of a sloppy joe….one scoop of chicken salad, about 4 chips, and water.  My daughter gave me this huge piece of cake, it was beautiful and I only took a few bites, so sweet I didn’t really enjoy it.  Once you start eating healthy, the bad foods really don’t taste as good.

Hope everyone has a great Monday.  So glad to hear our friend Linda (poet) is home safe and sound

Good Monday Morning Buddys.  Its 11:15 here in Michigan, weather is beautiful, sun shining, and temps in the 60’s.  The sleeping weather is just perfect and no more AC!!! thank goodness my electric bills were getting more difficult to pay

Feeling somewhat grumpy this morning.  I know its silly, but I’m feeling dissapointed in myself on my eating over the weekend.  I didn’t eat much at all, but I did gain a pound.  Because of my heart I have to weigh everyday.  If I see a gain of 2 pounds or more I have to call the Doc.  That would mean I’m retaining water, which would affect the flash pulmonary edema episodes.

I know its going to take time but I was so hoping to see a drop.

Hows everyone elses day going?  Are your scales looking good?

My weekend was ok, had my youngest son home most of the weekend, which is so unlike him.  We did run over to see my Daughter Tim and Talan.  Poor Tim, Angela is not very nice to be around these days.  I feel bad for her.  I”m trying to work up the energy to take my sweet Talan for a day and night.  I worry because I don’t have the energy as I used to.  God will help me in this decision.

Well, thats about it.  Hope everyone is having a wonderful day full of smiles

Hi Buddys.  I’m really in a bad spot here at home.

My 20 year old son came to live with us last October 2007.  It was only to be temporary while his wife went to school.  They have since divorced, and I can’t seem to get him to leave.

I love him dearly, but I need him to move.  I’ve gone over this in my head over and over, but just can’t get the words I want to say.

As always I’ve been praying for Gods guidance, but I’m stuck.

Hopefully someone can give me some advice or suggestions on how to do this without hurting his feelings.

Its almost the holiday weekend!!!!!!!!! YIPPEE!!!! That means 3 full days with my hubby.  Life just doesn’t get any better then that.

It’s been good reading blogs again.  I’ve missed a few, but I’ll get back to comment.

Today is an important day for my future.  When in the hospital I mentioned Disability and every single Doc and Nurse, even the social worker said I met all the criteria.  Also my psychiatrist said he would back me 100%  So its in the Lords hands for now, but I’d love your prayers. My appointment is at 1:00 this afternoon and my husband will take a 1/2 a day off work to take me :)  We’ll go on our last “fresh corn” (just picked today) drive and it will probably be the last of the season.  I might be too late already, hope not as we love the fresh corn:)

Not sure whats going on with the scale, but I’m losing and loving it.  I’m just afraid I’m losing a bit to fast to be healthy.  I can’t feel it in my clothes, but the scale seems to be accurate.  I went down 2 more pounds since yesterday.  Granted I’m not eating like I used to.  Guess it just goes to show little baby steps will get you to your final goals!!

Hope you all have a wonderful Labor Day Weekend!! Keep moving and NEVER EVER give up.  If its in your heart to lose the weight, you’ll find that place inside and the motivation and determination will follow.  I promise you this

Good afternoon all my wonderful buddys!!! I’ve missed this place sooooooooooo much and today I’m finally feeling somewhat energized and healthier!!!

I guess for now just an update over here in Michigan.  My scales are going down down down!!! and I’m eating only healthy foods….very low salt.  I actually found a tortilla chip that is unsalted.  I was thrilled.  Then off to the salsa aisle and after looking at every bottle I found Paul Newmans Salsa with only 109 grams of sodium per 2 tablespoons.  I know 2 tablespoons doesn’t sound like much, but I choose the hot and spicy salsa….and WHEW!!! you only need a couple tablespoons. I’m restricted to 2000 mgs of sodium per day.  If you try to stick to that amount it is definitely a challenge.  I’ve always been a label reader and now even more so.

After the hospital visit I seemed to have lost my appetite for a few days…YIPPEE!!!! but its back just not as strong.

Guess I was just more scared then before with what I eat and drink.

My daughters pregnancy is coming along.  Shes absolutely miserable because baby girl Brooklyn is sitting deep and low and it causes Angela alot of back pain.  Please keep her in your prayers.

I spent the day with little man Talan!!! I think I actually love him more each time I’m with him…Silly I know 

I’m going to change my weight ticker as I’ve seen another drop.  Thank you God for giving me this day…for making me smile…and for allowing me to share my life with my special friends here at BuddySlim.  You guys just couldn’t be any better and I love you all!!!

Have a fun day

This is the dog right here. Yup…Katelin was convinced I would buy her this dog at the Humane Society yesterday…LOL!!!  “I don’t think so young lady”  LOL!!!  Not at $150.00 per dog, not to mention your mother would kill me!!!!

But we had fun visiting with the dogs.  Last trip was unsuccessful.  The Humane Society had their doors open for a dog vaccination clinic, but viewing of the dogs wasn’t allowed.  We did sneak into the cat room and saw some rabbits.  But we wanted to see the dogs!! and dogs we did see!!

Normally we would go out to lunch.  Not yesterday, decided to stop and get a small ice cream.  Much cheaper!!!! I had the smallest sundae I could find on the menu….Katelin had some type of Shake with lots of strawberries.

We had fun….shopped at a couple of dollar stores and called it a day. 

Today is a quiet day here at home.  I’ll get my walking in (yes Tatiana I’m walking!!!!)  get some laundry and housework done.  Dad comes for dinner tonight, so I’ll be busy with that as well.

Just got home from a visit with my daughter Angela and Talan!!! Wanted to share some new pics of my beautiful daughter. She is 7 months pregnant here carrying Brooklyn Rose!!

  I’m really hoping somebody here at BuddySlim is still talking with our long time buddy Jo.  I miss her like crazy.

Seems when I was on vacation I missed a blog from her stating she was leaving buddyslim.  If anyone wanted to keep in touch, then they were to e-mail her.  I did and haven’t heard anything.

Does anybody know anything?  I just want to know if she is ok..and to make sure she knows how much she was loved here.  I know I am not the only one who feels this way.

Any info would be appreciated.  Or if you do talk to her, could you tell her I miss her!! and I want to share my private e-mail with her!!

Good Monday Morning to all my Special Buddys!!!!!

Wow…wow….wow….   :)   We had such an incredible weekend I just wanted to share it with my friends here at BuddySlim!!!

On Saturday my hubby and I called the Soaring Eagle Casino/Resort to see if they had any available rooms for the night.  At first he said he only had 1 room with 2 double beds…BOOOOO…nope, not gonna fly.  Not for over 100 dollars.  I said “are you sure that is all you have”?  He said…hold on…oh yes….I just had a room with a King bed open up…YIPPEE!!! By this time I’m doing the happy dance (thinking of you Jen Jen :)  )  I said we’ll take it!!

Off we go, quite a little drive….about 87 miles to be exact.  But thats ok because just being together with my husband AWAY from home is such a treat!!!

After check in off to the casino we go.  We were very practical about the money.  We each allowed ourselves $100 to gamble with.  We promised not to  pull any more money out.  This would be a challenge  LOL!!!

We had a fun evening, came back to the room around 10:00 p.m.  We had 1/2 the money we went with, but had played for over 4 hours and had a ball.

The next morning after breakfast and checkout we decided to just go back and play a little more…hehehehehe.

Something just seemed to guide me over to this silly 1 cent (penny) machine  LOL!! We play them, but mostly for the fun.  They typically are NOT money makers.

This one machine (Sea Lions) was just calling my name!! So here I go….insert @20.00.  Immediately this machine starts paying off.  My hubby sitting next to me is in shock.  It just kept going up and up, and the final amount was $289.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I immediately cashed out and smiled from ear to ear :)  I decided to put in another $20.00, so I did, and this time I cashed out at $170.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  All in all this particular machine paid out $459.00…minus the 40.00…..so thats $419.o0 for a penny machine

Needless to say we were just thrilled.  The winnings paid for the 200.00 in gamling…the 120.00 for the room, 30.00 for dinner, 15.00 for lunch and 20 for gas in the car and still allowed us to bring a little home. 

Ok…so were back to reality now!!!

By 8:00 a.m. this morning I have already

1.  Had 1 healthy shake today

2.  Walked on the treadmill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3.  Have dinner planned and prepped (we’ll have a healthy version of Goulash using Jennie-o Turkey Breast, fresh green peppers, vidalia onions, stewed tomatoes and yolk free noodles!!! We’ll also have fresh picked peas from the local farm

4.  Have my MT books and papers laid out ready for me.

I sure hope every had a fabulous weekend!! We sure did!!! I’m still smiling :)  Can’t seem to wipe it off my face…guess I really don’t want to..LOL!!!

Life is so good….God is so great….I love BuddySlim….I love my Buddys….May God bless you all today and everyday.
