Vacation is almost here ~~ I’m Exhausted!!

Good Monday Morning BuddySlimmers :)

Did everyone have a nice weekend.  Lots of exercise??? good eating??? most of all did everyone have lots of fun???

As for me I’m exhausted…..maybe I’ve stopped drinking coffee, but I needed a cup this morning (or so I thought I did )  LOL….View Image

Vacation is coming quick.   I believe every year around this time my blog is asking others about tips and some advice.

My mother in law is the most wonderful person, with the biggest loving heart.  So compasionate, generous and has a great sense of humor.  There’s only 1 problem when we are on vacation.  She loves to EAT!!!!!  And I do to!!!

I’ve worked so hard to re-learn my eating habits, and am proud of this accomplishment.  Back in the days, Pizza, Chinese Food, Big Macs, McDonalds breakfasts, chips, fritos, etc……were on a daily basis….Uuuggghhhh.

We’ve got the driving days all planned for eating.  Thank goodness for our shakes…..they will work perfect along with some fruit and vegetables.

Hubby and I have been learning how to eat out.  Now theres a challenge friends!!!  We go online and check menus to particular restaurants.  Most have nutrition, but some don’t. If they have no calorie/sodium counts   we just use common sense.

This is for Anj (hope you can get online :)  thank you for breakfast suggestions.

On Saturday morning my father wanted to take us out for breakfast.  My type of breakfast will take my entire calorie limit for the day:(

Anj suggested egg beaters, fresh fruit and oatmeal.

At Dennys here in Michigan you can pick 4 items to create your own Grand Slam Breakfast.  I choose

  1. Fresh fruit parfait (1/2 bannana, 1 strawberry sliced, 5 red grapes, 4 chunks fresh pineapple,  cubed canelope)   so deeeeeeeeelish :)
  2. 2 Eggbeaters
  3. Whole Wheat Toast
  4. Bowl of grits - no butter/1/4 cup shredded cheese

Thought I had done wonderful.  Got home and checked the calories on grits…was so sad to find out they are 150 calories for 1/4 cup.  I had at least 1/2 cup or more :(  I figured about 700 calories or more  for breakfast.  Oh well, live and learn right ?  It sure was good though!!

Final Dentist Appointment!!!

Yesterday was a rough day Buddys.  I had my final dentist appointment to finish my smile :)

In 2007 I began the journey of having my teeth fixed, whitened, capped, crowned, veneered and bridged.  2 years later, I’M DONE!!! and smiling BIG!!!

See miracles do happen, dreams do come true….you just have to BELIEVE!!! and I do :)

Its almost the weekend, and tommorrow is weigh in day for the WildCats…..YIKEEES!!! LOL!!!  no, I think I’ll be fine.

Tuesday…3 days until Friday!!!! TGIT !! lol!!!

Hows everybody doing today??????  Its crazy how my mood is up and down.  Yesterday was so sad, but today I’m up and ready to tackle anything :)

Working very hard on this 1 pound.  When its gone, I will have lost 30 pounds!!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!! amazing for me, I’ve tried for so long and finally I’m accomplishing what I need to do in life :)

Nothing much to report for today, just a typical day.  Vacation is just around the corner so I am planning my strategies  LOL  My mother in law loves to take us out to eat, so I have to be VERY VERY careful!!! 

But I have no doubt I can do it.  I refuse to gain weight just for 1 weeks vacation of bad choices.  I seem to be past the stage of  “living to eat”  I am currently in the “eat to live” stage and it agrees with me very well :)

Just sending out good vibes for today and hoping all are well.  Remember you are all strong…we all have our days which are bad, but we can overcome those and get healthy.   JUST DO IT!!!funnymyspace05.jpg

For all of those who had a weigh in day today, I sure hope it was a successful one for you!!!!  But remember, 1 day at a time, 1 pound at a time.  We will all get there if we stay motivated and push ahead!!!

I read an interesting article this morning about “workout with music”  I’ve done this by making up my own playlist to use during exercise.  If you go to www.http://playlist.com you can choose from all types of music, even borrow from other users.

I was just curious how many use music?  Do you start off with slow music, then move up to faster music?  I did copy an example from this site and I’m going to try it.

Any suggestions on CD’s out there for walking on the treadmill?

I think I need to change it up…make exercise fun and healthy!!!  Animated Star

I have a New Friend….Let me Introduce My scale!!!!

View ImageI’m looking at my new profile pic for BuddySlim, made special by my husband….but I can hardly see it  LOL!!! going to grab a magnifying glass!!!  We’ll have to work on that.

In for just a quick blog today.  The official weigh-in for my team is tommorrow.  But the blabber mouth that I am :)  can’t keep this news in!!!

I have finally reached the 200 mark on the scale!!!!  Who would have thought this would be such  a success, especially when I once weighed 110.  YIKEEES!!  And after having 3 children, my weight stayed right around the 150 mark.

14.gifLMAO…just had to stick Confucius in….LMAO!!!  Love it!!

But to me this is HUGE.  With so much love and support all around me, and also some good discipline from myself,  I’m so happy to say I’ve lost the first 25 pounds.35.gif

It is so beautiful here and I am fully charged..LOL!

Woke up at 6:oo a.m., did 30 minutes on the bike, 15 on the treadmill, and 15 in strength training….Yuppers, you heard it right…STRENGTH TRAINING.  Me??????????? OMG>>>>its a total miracle.14.gifJust a rookie here, learning from many sites online.  We are also delving into Yoga….what is going on!!!

Well the scale  needs to go down 3 pounds, then official I’ll be on fire.

So everybody, if you  are so close to your goals, just STEP IT UP!!! and you can do anything!!!

I’m feeling like a million bucks today….actually I have since I started seriously in February.

A little tired some days , but it

get easier, I promise!!! I owe my husband the world for being so supportive!!! He’s incredible….God brought us together and I couldn’t be more thankful than I am today.  Together we work out….sometimes alone, and sometimes together.

Looking forward to biking this weekend…finally some sunshine!!!

Thank you to all you faithful loving BuddySlimmers out there.  I’ve made friendships that will last a lifetime, and I’m so thankful for that.  I’m thankful for the support and love :)

Monday 19

Good Morning Buddys!!!!

How did everyone do over the weekend?  Any parties, celebrations, were you faced with temptations?  Is the weekend the most difficult days for you all to get through?

Weekends used to ruin my entire week of eating healthy.  It always felt like a party….2 days with my husband, pay day, and lots of unhealthy food.

So many of us here have done a complete turnaround in our life.  We finally had the “AHA” moment, and arn’t you glad??????

I still maintained on the scale, and ate fairly good.

Hubby and I were so excited to get out and ride our new bikes….we were lucky to get in 20 minutes between Friday evening and Saturday morning.  We have had so much rain, and its cloudy and yucky :(  Hope we get some SUNSHINE soon…I need it :)

Wanted to wish you all a Happy Healthy Monday :)

Just hopping in to wish all a Happy Easter.  Hope the weather is warm for all the little ones searching for eggs.

Such a beautiful time of the year :)

Got past my mini goal, and lost 3 pounds this week.  I’m on cloud nine!!!  Can’t believe it, but now theres no stopping me;)

Just had blood work done for cholesterol, we’ll see how it goes.  My last results were so good my doctor took me off of one of my cholesterol meds!!!  He also cut the dosage on another one  YIPPEE!!!

Alrighty then, off to color some eggs for my grandkids and my kids…yeah my kids  (there only in their 20’s)  LOL!!!  guess I’m the one who needs to grow up!!! (it’ll never happen)  :) Make up the baskets and get ready for the big day.

Too many decisions…..Whats a Girl to Do????

It's the Easter Beagle, Charlie Brown (DVD) (Deluxe Edition)Hey Buddys.  Hope everyone is doing well on this fine Tuesday.  I’m in a horrible spot…I have a huge dilemma  LOL!!!

Two choices on TV both same time, I love them both….WHATS A GIRL TO DO??????????

Oh well, just wanted to remind everyone that Its Easter Charlie Brown is on tonight at 8:00 p.m.  Guess I’m still part kid because I love all the holiday cartoons/specials.  Its tradition in my house!!!

Also biggest loser fans, same time 8:00 p.m. tonight :)

Ok…hope all your scales are showing good numbers for you all…keep up your hard work, healthy habits and keep the faith because YOU WILL BE THE BIGGEST LOSER!!!!!
