Exercise with music~~~HELP!!!

For all of those who had a weigh in day today, I sure hope it was a successful one for you!!!!  But remember, 1 day at a time, 1 pound at a time.  We will all get there if we stay motivated and push ahead!!!

I read an interesting article this morning about “workout with music”  I’ve done this by making up my own playlist to use during exercise.  If you go to www.http://playlist.com you can choose from all types of music, even borrow from other users.

I was just curious how many use music?  Do you start off with slow music, then move up to faster music?  I did copy an example from this site and I’m going to try it.

Any suggestions on CD’s out there for walking on the treadmill?

I think I need to change it up…make exercise fun and healthy!!!  Animated Star

I just want to wish everyone a great Friday…TGIF!!! and better yet a healthy, happy weekend :)

I’m feeling like a million bucks today….actually I have since I started seriously in February.

A little tired some days , but it

get easier, I promise!!! I owe my husband the world for being so supportive!!! He’s incredible….God brought us together and I couldn’t be more thankful than I am today.  Together we work out….sometimes alone, and sometimes together.

Looking forward to biking this weekend…finally some sunshine!!!

Thank you to all you faithful loving BuddySlimmers out there.  I’ve made friendships that will last a lifetime, and I’m so thankful for that.  I’m thankful for the support and love :)

Say What?????? 20 pounds, 45 to go!

Good afternoon all you buddyslimmers out there :) Do you have sunshine where you are today?  We finally do after 3 days of rain, dark clouds, cold weather and plain YUCK, we have a beautiful sunny day here.  Can’t help but smile when its sunny :)

Started out a normal day here, got up…got on the scale         scales.jpg scales image by vibraceousand I was so excited I couldn’t stay still.  I even went to tell my doggies Chloe and Toby the good news (I swear dogs understand)  I have finally lost 20 pounds….YES 20 POUNDS!!!!  I still have 45 to go, but I’m happy because I finally stuck to my plan and stayed with exercising and it is finally paying off :)

I have a drawer or 2 stuffed with favorite clothes of the past and future :)  I bet you all have that same drawer……I’ve designated part of my closet for the same thing.

I looked around and found one of my most favorite pair of jeans.  Haven’t fit in them forever :( 

Sadly and embarrasing to say I’ve been in a 20/22 jeans.  My favorite pair was an 18   YES AN 18!!!!  and I can fit into them!!!!  sure there a little snug, but I know they will be comfortable in a few days. I am so proud.  I feel so much more confidant now and the motivation is even stronger.

So Please buddys I know how hard this journey is, I’ve been on BuddySlim for 2 years and I just recently had that “AHA “moment.  I want to be healthy and live a long life….at the rate I was going, it wouldn’t be such a long life.  I love healthy foods, right now my favorite thing is finding new healthy recipes. :)

I know you all can do it.  It has to come from within first.  Make it your hobby…..make your new healthy journey fun and competitive.  For me I decided to make it my “Full Time Job”  and its working :)

This is a big week for my husband and I.  We celebrate anniversary/birthdays.  We went out and bought a new bike for each of us!!! Were ready to go!!!

I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for always being there for me.  For all the love and support I’ve gotten from this awesome site.  Couldn’t have done it without you.

Its Almost Here~~~Weigh-In Day

A big shout out….to all the good buddys here today!!!   Its finally WEDNESDAY!!!

Its a little late for this question, but how did we all do over Easter weekend?  I hope you all were successful and made good choices.

I did great at dinner, but in the evening when all the company was gone, my husband and I ran to the bedroom and ate the remainder of Easter Candy….BAD JANE…..BAD ALAN….LMAO!!! oh well, darn it tasted so good.  I forgot how much I love jelly beans!!!

So there are consequences for our actions……and mine were bad :(   I gained 2 pounds.  I wanted to just cry, but nope got back on my bike and walked on the treadmill and stuck to my plan.

This will be an interesting Friday weigh-in for me!!!

Always remember if we gain a little, we gain a little, its all a part of the journey.  I’m learning now that I can’t beat myself up.  What for…how silly!!!!!!!!  I just need to concentrate and make my journey of eating healthy and exercise a full time job:)

Hello —– Its Wednesday

To all my buddys here….a big super duper hug…..and a pat on the back for all the hard work.  You all just amaze me and lift my spirits.  Your determination and strength is unstoppable.  You are truly my inspiration to lose this weight.  I know God is holding my hand as always giving me that needed strength to get through this battle,  but you ALLof you  are encouraging me, and for that I thank you. ((((((((((((Hugs to everyone)))))))))))))))))) 

I am having a difficult time getting my exercise logged?  I thought I had done it in the past, but I can’t seem to understand it this time…..duh….a brain fart I spose….LOL!!!

If anyone has an extra minute, and could guide me through the exercise tracker, I’d appreciate it.

Thank you one and all for all the advice and opinions of Weight Watchers.  I’ve decided the money could be an issue.  Money is so tight, and I know it is for everyone.  With that 11.00 per week charge, that would buy me alot of fresh vegtables and fruits :)

2 days before  the weekend  YIPPEE YAHOO!!!

Your Personal Journal?

ImageIts  Monday, rise and shine buddyslimmers!!! We have much to accomplish today.  This is YOUR week to shine.  I think I’m shining this morning  “walking to the mirror looking”     yup shining Jane ;)  Ready to face whatever might come my way.  Hold on gang, here we gooooooooooooooo!!!!  Yup Its aImage  day :)

This weekend my husband and I went on our normal shopping trip.  Always looking for healthy snacks, sad to say I think we checked out just about everyone.  Wish they made a low cal, low sodium store.  I know they have sections in the grocery store but I mean a store just dedicated to people with health issues.  Oh well, maybe someday :)

Image  Its so wonderful to have BuddySlim….a safe place filled with loving friends.  I thank God for this site….again thank you Dr. Marc for making it possible.

On our shopping trip this weekend, I saw a beautiful journal, it was reduced to $4.20  very affordable.  On the cover it read Trust in the Lord with all Your Heart….it had a flower shaped like heart with a bird on it.

I was sold…loved it….needed it ……wanted it…..and yup  bought it.

I’ve always wanted to leave something behind for my children.  You see being adopted does bring a small amount of wonder and loneliness.  Some days you ask “why” more then others, but I would give anything for my biological mother to have left me something.

Anyway, now I’m babbling.  This beautiful journal will be my thoughts, prayers and feelings for each day :) Image

For me this is just one more way to motivate me and be honest at the end of the day by writing everything out…happiness, sadness, failure, whatever the day brought.

Hope your weekends went well, we did pretty good on eating.  I am up to 40 - 45 mins exercise almost everyday.  Feeling full of life….finally!!!Image

Music & Exercise = Weight Loss….And My Secret!

Good afternoon all you buddys out there.  I know Monday mornings are tough, but its a new week!!!!

I decided a few weeks I would back off from BuddySlim until I could see I was serious this time and saw some weight loss.

I’m back…and have good results to share, but first.

How many of you exercise to music? 

I used to love to walk or ride during “All My Children,” but I discovered music is so much better.

If you go to http://www.playlist.com you can make your own play list.  I live and breath music, so this was just the answer for my motivation (other then being a fatty grammy) and all the loving support from my  buddys here .

Its taken a while but I’ve perfected my list and this is what I play during exercise time :)

This morning I hopped on the treadmill and started my music.  I was walking to the beat…some faster then others…..so I guess you could say….wogging?  sometimes…LOL!!!  Take for example, Any Lynard Skynard Lovers Out there????????  Well take one of my favs of his  “Simple Man”  for me I set my treadmill at 2.5 and walk the whole song :) I walk as long as I can do my songs.  I actually stayed on 30 mins this morning.  Ready to switch to the bike.  But I decided to bike while watching All My Children  LOL!!! love my soaps.

So my secret is certainly music :)

My other secret is my weight loss and exercising schedule.  My exercising will never be close to some girls here with kickboxing, Yoga, Spinning etc….but I’m working hard and seeing results.

I did purchase Bob Greens Perfect Life Book and found some interesting things in his book.

Ok, my routine is now (and its official)

1.  up between 8:00 - 8:30  (this weekend it was 6:30 - 7:00)  WOOPEE

2.   Drink a half glass of orange juice to start your metabolism going (Thanks Shanna) :)

3.   Check my e-mail :)

4.   Drink my Isagenix Shake and take my pills

5.   Straight to my little gym   LOL!!! which only consists of my treadmill and bike, but we will add to it as time goes along

6.    Everyday I exercise, I did lose a few days in the past two weeks, but my goal is everyday.

7.  Keeping a record of my weight, and exercise.  Will be putting it on my BuddySlim page!!!

8.   Back to e-mail

9.    Small snack, some examples clementine, apple, V8 Fusion Light Strawberry/Bannana 50 calories….etc…

10.   Lunch….one more Shake

11.    Housework, errands…whatever neeeds to be done, if the computer isn’t calling my name ONCE AGAIN!!!  LOL Hello  I’m Jane I’m an internet addict –geez…..LOL.   Better then being in the bars right??

12.  Dinner….between 400-600 calories.  Exercise with hubby if the evening permits.

13.  Small healthy snack….2 hours before bed…

14.  Asleep by 10:00

15.   Repeat above   WOOT WOOT  HOORAY!!!  YES I’VE FOUND THE TRICK FOR ME!!!

So I just had to share this morning, because I feel like I’m on top of the world.

I have a very special friend who has buddied up with me and we write our progress several times a day.  We have our own little Boot Camp going!!! God brought us together and thats for sure :)

So between my one on one support, my husband, my children and lets not forget my most favorite 2nd home BUDDYSLIM!!!  I can’t fail….never again.

Life is so great everyone….no one knows how long our time will be here in this beautiful country of ours.  I’ve said it so many times…but please please…smile often….hug alot…..pray and Praise…..Love each day like its your last…..and do at least one nice thing for a stranger each day, we don’t give to receive gifts or money, we give to receive the satisfaction and love in return :) It actually feels so good to give of your time or maybe just a smile….it becomes contagious :)

OMG!!! how could I forget part of the best news…my secret!!! On Feb. 9 2009 I weighed my highest weight ever 225.

Today Feb. 23, 2009 I’m down to 220.6  Almost 5 pounds in 2 weeks!!!!! LIFE IS GOOD GOD IS GOOD   Love you guys!!!!!

Its Monday morning, February 16th.  Can you believe Spring is just around the corner  “biting nails”  are all ready to step out in our shorts and bathing suits “bites nail even more “  LOL!!! Well I’m not and I admit it, but I know one thing I’M ON A ROLL BUDDYSLIM!!!!

This time is the time.  We’ve quit smoking, quit drinking, quit coffee (never drank much anyway) and trying to quit Diet Coke (which really isn’t a problem)

Water is my best friend, followed by fruit juices.

Grapes, Bannanas, Clementines, & Apples are my buddys too :) Love celery & carrots with fat free Ranch dip  (only 35 cals for 2 tablespoons)  looking forward to fresh fruit and vegetable season :)

I’ve found the motivation and desire to get er done  LOL!!!

I have a new schedule (I need routine) and I’m sticking to it.

I’ve mainted this week weight wise, but have exercised everyday (except the weekend).  Off to a good start, up at 8:30 a.m., drink my orange juice, read my bible with my beautiful unique bookmark :), Walk or ride for 20 mins, drink my morning shake, and then ONLINE….COMPUTER ADDICT I AM  lmao!!!!!   Tried to stay away, and I’m limiting my time online still.

So how are all my BUDDYS???????????????  Everyone still pushing along….learning more tips, gaining new friends, enjoying life the good lord has given us, and are you all SMILING!!!!!!!Royalty-free Clip Art: Yellow Emoticon Face Laughing Really HardIf your not smiling…..then START SMILING!!!! it raises your metabolism, and will stop those awful frown lines :(   not this  –  but this :)

Its Monday!!!!!!!!  Not usually our happiest day of the week, but for me it is :)  Its been a rough couple of weeks, but things have settled down with the kids and now its my husband’s and my time.  YIPPEE!!!!!!!!

After watching Channel 8 Today show, they had a short segment on losing weight in the new year.

They said support is key to success, but we all know that. Thats why we are all so thankful for BuddySlim.   A big SHOUT OUT to BuddySlim :) and most of all a bigger SHOUT OUT to Dr. Marc :)

In particular they mentioned couples support.  If you all have a spouse or significant other, would they be willing to take the journey with you?  Even a best friend, or a new friend you meet at the gym.

BuddySlim is necessary for us to get er done, but someone one on one can really help!!!!

Sooooooooo tonight is our night.  Today I’ll start, but when Alan gets home he’ll get in on the exercise time.  We plan to sit and plan all meals together.

With a bike and a treadmill, we can exercise together and we plan on competitions which will jazz things up a bit!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So…all my tresured buddys………….find someone at home to buddy up with in person…and ALWAYS remain in our close family of BuddySlimmers.

Take today, make it yours.  Find time for you because YOU are so important.  Theres no one out there that can decide your goals, only you.  You know what you want, lets all just jump in head first!!!! We have so many hero’s here to learn from…so many new people wanting to join in, life just doesn’t get any better then this :)

Its Monday Morning!!! A new chance, a new week, and is everyone working hard towards their goals???????   I’m beginning to find a routine here that I’m happy with :)

Got a clean bill of health on Friday.  Seems my kidneys arn’t blocked, doctor said they look beautiful, arteries open wide and clear!!!  Guess thats a good thing right?  So now its back to square one to figure out why I  have these attacks.  I’m not going to worry much, one day at a time.  My heart function has also gone up to normal.  Now is God Good or what?????????  Do miracles happen or what??????????  YES THEY DO!!!

 

I’m on a mission to find a recumbant bike for me to ride here at home.  In my office I have my treadmill, so my husband will walk the treadmill, while I ride my bike  LOL!!  Quality time with my best friend/husband, now thats a good life ;)

 

Pantry is totally stocked with healthy choices.  I’ve found canned vegetables with no salt added.  I could never find stewed tomatoes without salt, but we hit the jackpot yesterday..YIPPE!! I could eat stewed tomatoes everyday, hot, cold….yum yum.

 

Were not very much into canned fruits, but here in Michigan nothing is fresh and in season.  So I was able to find  “sugar free” fruits.  Only 30 calories or so.

 

Lots of chicken in the fridge…..My Dad bought a variety box of Omaha Steaks, and there meat is very lean and very good  “rubbing tummy” 

 

So I think we are ready once again, just need that bike!!!
