Exercise with music~~~HELP!!!

A good morning to all out there in BuddSlim, are you
??????
For all of those who had a weigh in day today, I sure hope it was a successful one for you!!!! But remember, 1 day at a time, 1 pound at a time. We will all get there if we stay motivated and push ahead!!!
I read an interesting article this morning about “workout with music” I’ve done this by making up my own playlist to use during exercise. If you go to www.http://playlist.com you can choose from all types of music, even borrow from other users.
I was just curious how many use music? Do you start off with slow music, then move up to faster music? I did copy an example from this site and I’m going to try it.
Any suggestions on CD’s out there for walking on the treadmill?
I think I need to change it up…make exercise fun and healthy!!!
Any suggestions would be great!! Thank you
Lots of hugs for everyone!! ~~Jane~~

If I am running or walking, then music is CRUCIAL
I am bored to tears without it. I use an mp3 player and switch up the music every week or so, so I don’t hear the same songs over and over. I download song by song instead of entire CD’s, again so I don’t get bored. A great workout song is Snap’s “I Got the Power”!
I also workout to music — it REALLY helps me, and I can totally tell a difference in my speed and stamina when I use it, especially when a really motivational song is on! I have a couple of workout playlists on my iPod. A few songs that really work for me include:
Stronger (Kanye West)
Suddenly I See (KT Tunstall)
Shake It (Metro Station)
Extraordinary (Liz Phair)
Jump Around (House of Pain)
Feed the Tree (Belly)
Are You Gonna Go My Way (Lenny Kravitz)
Takin’ Care of Business (Bachman Turner Overdrive)
I usually cool down/stretch to something slower and more mellow that I just really like, and it puts me in a good mood for the rest of the day!
Yes, gotta have music–though I stopped using it when I walk because I walk faster and my knee cant take it lol. However, I love music!
I listen to country and classic rock–the faster I need to move with the workout, the faster the music. Cool down is usually dont with softer beat music to relax me.
I use my music sweetie!! OH - I have your email - thank you so so so much.
For running I listen to a lot of trance music to keep me going.
For yoga I use just beatufil melodies, slow with like wind, rain in the background.
For meditation, similar to yoga music.
For stength I use my every day music.
OH THE CATS WEIGH IN IS SOOOOOOOOOO GOOOD!! We gonna do it!
Just off the top of my head I know these are great for walking. For cardio I like heavier, but I LOVE these two songs. I rarely love a whole CD.
The Proclaimers - (I’m gonna be) 500 miles
Alabama - I’m in a Hurry
Thanks for the positivity Jane. Big hugs……
Have a very physical weekend. *smiles right back at ya*
Had to go to YouTube and hear I’m in a Hurry! So I am feeling spry at 6:27 AM…
Jane that is one sexy ticker you have there. Great job!
I need to do this! I usually just do it to the dvd.
