Please Help!!!! Any advice or opinions will be so much appreciated.

A huge Good Morning to all the buddyslimmers out there :)  Hope everyone has had a great week.  One more day ladies and gents :)

Any one have fun plans?

Ok…down to business….I know how bad soda is for you….whether it be diet or regular.  I’ve also heard its the carbonation that works bad on your cells.

We stumbled across this wonderful Fruit flavored drink but it is carbonated.  It has no calories, no nothing, and my hubby and I love it.

Is the carbonation in that the same as pop?  Is that also bad for you? This is probably a stupid question, but is carbonation all the same??????????  “confused look”

Second……Has anyone here attended a Weight Loss Medically Supervised Program.  Not the ones they advertise on TV, but run by doctors who specialize in obesity?

I’m going to an orientation tonight,…..CAN’T WAIT!!!! and see whats it all about.  I just thought if anyone had been through one, or knew someone who has been through one could give me ideas.

One more thing, has anyone seen our Tatiana lately?  I haven’t checked the forums because I know she’s busy there, but I’m worried if she is ok.

Thanks everybody who takes time to help me here.  You ALL ROCK!!!

Thanks guys, you are the ABSOLUTELY BEST!!!!!

With God All Things are Possible~~~

Gods not the

only one

whot loves you!!!

Okay I’ll probably get thrown under the bus for this one. I KNOW soda is not good for you but one body building magazine actually had it in an article as one of the foods to use on their “good” list. But diet only and their reasoning was that the carbonation will make you feel full. I would have to say use them in moderation. I used to tell myself once a day. Now I’m down to less than once a day on that.

Anyway…take this info and use it as you like. That’s what I did with it. Cause their really not good but some people are addicted to them and can’t stop. I’m not and use them as a treat. Sometimes I crave a soda instead of a cookie. Then I drink a diet and I think it was safer than the carb/sugar loaded cookie. But by any means I don’t condone soda use or even say it is a good item.

Carbonation is the culprit, but honestly, if you use it as a treat once in a while, you are not going to hurt yourself. I’d rather drink a glass of diet soda myself on Sunday night (I like the fruit-flavored ones myself, not a coke person) than dream of or gods forbid eat baked goodies.

Soda i sbad for you in any form, water does the trick,I had to ween myself off soda like 5 yrs ago and I did it,I started drinking like squirt and diet 50/50 then I started using the flavored water packets which are awesome.I was in a medically supervised diet medifast, wow!!it worked but it was sooo hard and expensive and as soon as I stopped, gained it back as soon as it came off because you cant eat any food and I did it for 4 months.never again will I put myself through that.Try water flavor packets, they are great so that way ur water isnt so plain.=)best of luck!!!

Can’t answer the carbonation question or Tatiana (don’t know that person.)

As for a medically supervised program - yes. I went thru a 12 week program at our local hospital. I enjoyed it, learned a lot, wasn’t as successful as they hoped (they hoped for 10% weight loss during those 12 weeks and I didn’t do it - my fault not their’s.) Actually it was that program that made me google search for weight loss support and brought me to buddyslim. I don’t regret it and would highly recommend it. If you want more info, let me know.

I wish I could help but I have no idea. I would say that water (carbonated or not) has to be better than a lot of that other junk though.

    Well…there is carbonated water…carbonated fruit water…
I would think the soda is bad because of the sugary syrup…not the carbonation…but I dont have any fact behind that. Sorry Jane!
Its supposed to warm up the low 60’s here this weekend :D THAT will make me happy! And I have our Family Game Night on Saturday to go to. Thats my plans. Enjoy your weekend!!

im pretty sure that anything unnatural entering your body is not good for you. carbonation is a mechanically engineered substance, and probably not too good. but i drink sugar free energy drinks sometimes. so in moderation, anything is fine.

I know that carbonation is supposed to be bad, I still drink diet soda myself.
    Good luck tonite!!!! Hugs, Kama

I’m agreeing with Nancy on this one Jane. Sorry I can’t help you out. :( I do have your email to respond to and I promise to write back today!

I agree w/ Loni- anything that is unnatural is probably not good for your body in some kind of way.

As for the group- That’s fantastcik! I hope it goes wonderfully for you! : )

I know that cutting down on coffee has a positive impact on weight. I drink decaf green tea and lost 9 lbs almost within a week. I gave up daily coffee due to burning of my stomach lining.

I have to eat 5 small meals per day. I haven’t accommplished getting in my 8 cups of water. Nor have I been exercising. I have all the reasons in the world, however, It is one day at a time.

I use to be fit and had my weight under control. Now that I relapsed for the last 2 years gettin
g bck on tract is harder.

I am looking forward to meeting some persons who may have experienced weight loss and weight gain. Like \oprah I can’t believe I am talking about this still

Hey Janey Jane Jane. How’s my cyba sista? I haven’t read the other responses, but in my own opinion, and you know what they say about opinions… I wouldn’t think it was necessarily BAD for you, but I would make sure to check the sodium levels in it.

Personally, I don’t care for the flavored waters. Love to squeeze a fresh lemon in mind though. :)

    Hugggggggggggggggggs,
    Shan
