We have a new member in our family and I have a new LIFE!!!

Yep you read that right :)  We do indeed have a new addition to our family. No please don’t thinking its a baby….NO WAY!!! and by the way, the kids are all moved out and I’m in seventh heaven!!!!  So now our new family is complete :)  I received a call from my dogs groomer.

She said “Jane I have a little cocker spaniel, a girl and shes 11 years old”  She continued to say “The family is moving out of state and can only take 1 dog to the house they will be renting.  If they cannot find a home they will have to put her down.”  Well folks, I don’t know if you know what an animal lover I really am.  Other then my family, dogs in particular are the love of my life.  Were talking true Unconditional Love from these little guys/gals :)

Shoes on, grab my purse and off to the groomers to meet this cocker spaniel.   Her name is Chloe and I fell in love instantly.

We had her for a overnight to see if Toby would accept her…remember now he is the KING OF THE HOUSE!!! They did pretty good :)

Chloe went home for a couple days, had a vet appt. and shots.  We will pick her up tonight after Alan gets out of work…YIPPEE!!!!  She just balances out my life….the love these little dogs have to give is unconditional!!! They don’t care if your having a bad hair day, or bad breath…you can talk to them and they listen….they NEVER TALK BACK!!!!

Ok, chapter 1 —– chapter 2 —- to follow :)

My new life.

So many changes since Feb. 9, 2009.  Somehow I woke up and felt this strength and motivation I hadn’t felt before. I had been praying faithfully for guidance and help getting where I need to be which is healthy!!!!

Since Feb 9th, I haven’t had anything fried, fatty, salty, no fast foods, no restaurants…just wholesome healthy foods.  ” Pats myself on the back”  LOL 

I’ve exercised everyday except for Valentines weekend, and I missed a couple other days.

I started out so slow because I was so out of shape, not I’m up to 30 - 45 mins a day :) Using my new bike and my treadmill and I feel so much better!!!

I feel like a new person, I feel empowered…and I believe God is smiling right down on me :)

For those who keep struggling, please please don’t give up.  I kept giving up, but kept starting over.  Believe me it will happen….Find it deep inside the desire to become healthy. Its there I promise you.

I had 2 heart doctor appointments this week.

1st appointment my heart failure doc was soooooooooooo very happy to see me in such good spirits and so motivated.  He told me he was proud of my exercising. Unless something comes up I’ll see him in a year!!! Thats amazing, I’ve been going to these docs on an average of 3 -4 times a year.

2nd appointment with my cardiologist. I had blood work done the day before.  I asked the results, he got them and his eyes were soooooooooo big.  He just shook his head and said Jane I can’t believe this!!!!!  My numbers were rediculous!!! so low but not in any danger.  He said we will cut your Liptor in half . I was about to jump up and down…probably would have if I wasn’t carrying around these 10 pounds melons……LMAO….we did actually weigh them…,my husband and I   LMAO!!! now thats a pretty picture huh?????????

As I was checking out, my doc came up behind me and tapped me on the shoulder with a huge smile and said….I’m taking you off a Zetia as well.  He said keep up the good work whatever you are doing, don’t stop, now if that isn’t the best news ever!!! See I’ve talked about my new eating program, but he isn’t familiar with it.  When I go back he’ll be shocked…I go back in 9 months for a stress test. 

I should be able to keep my heart failure at stage 3, given I don’t have any more setbacks.  If I continue to eat and exercise he expects me to be off all my cholosterol meds.  I can actually get better and live many many years, before this my outlook was so dim and discouraging.

You know what??????????????? God has given me this wonderful opportunity.  He took away my smoking….my drinking…..and now my bad eating habits.

GOD IS GOOD….GOD IS GREAT

Music & Exercise = Weight Loss….And My Secret!

Good afternoon all you buddys out there.  I know Monday mornings are tough, but its a new week!!!!

I decided a few weeks I would back off from BuddySlim until I could see I was serious this time and saw some weight loss.

I’m back…and have good results to share, but first.

How many of you exercise to music? 

I used to love to walk or ride during “All My Children,” but I discovered music is so much better.

If you go to http://www.playlist.com you can make your own play list.  I live and breath music, so this was just the answer for my motivation (other then being a fatty grammy) and all the loving support from my  buddys here .

Its taken a while but I’ve perfected my list and this is what I play during exercise time :)

This morning I hopped on the treadmill and started my music.  I was walking to the beat…some faster then others…..so I guess you could say….wogging?  sometimes…LOL!!!  Take for example, Any Lynard Skynard Lovers Out there????????  Well take one of my favs of his  “Simple Man”  for me I set my treadmill at 2.5 and walk the whole song :) I walk as long as I can do my songs.  I actually stayed on 30 mins this morning.  Ready to switch to the bike.  But I decided to bike while watching All My Children  LOL!!! love my soaps.

So my secret is certainly music :)

My other secret is my weight loss and exercising schedule.  My exercising will never be close to some girls here with kickboxing, Yoga, Spinning etc….but I’m working hard and seeing results.

I did purchase Bob Greens Perfect Life Book and found some interesting things in his book.

Ok, my routine is now (and its official)

1.  up between 8:00 - 8:30  (this weekend it was 6:30 - 7:00)  WOOPEE

2.   Drink a half glass of orange juice to start your metabolism going (Thanks Shanna) :)

3.   Check my e-mail :)

4.   Drink my Isagenix Shake and take my pills

5.   Straight to my little gym   LOL!!! which only consists of my treadmill and bike, but we will add to it as time goes along

6.    Everyday I exercise, I did lose a few days in the past two weeks, but my goal is everyday.

7.  Keeping a record of my weight, and exercise.  Will be putting it on my BuddySlim page!!!

8.   Back to e-mail

9.    Small snack, some examples clementine, apple, V8 Fusion Light Strawberry/Bannana 50 calories….etc…

10.   Lunch….one more Shake

11.    Housework, errands…whatever neeeds to be done, if the computer isn’t calling my name ONCE AGAIN!!!  LOL Hello  I’m Jane I’m an internet addict –geez…..LOL.   Better then being in the bars right??

12.  Dinner….between 400-600 calories.  Exercise with hubby if the evening permits.

13.  Small healthy snack….2 hours before bed…

14.  Asleep by 10:00

15.   Repeat above   WOOT WOOT  HOORAY!!!  YES I’VE FOUND THE TRICK FOR ME!!!

So I just had to share this morning, because I feel like I’m on top of the world.

I have a very special friend who has buddied up with me and we write our progress several times a day.  We have our own little Boot Camp going!!! God brought us together and thats for sure :)

So between my one on one support, my husband, my children and lets not forget my most favorite 2nd home BUDDYSLIM!!!  I can’t fail….never again.

Life is so great everyone….no one knows how long our time will be here in this beautiful country of ours.  I’ve said it so many times…but please please…smile often….hug alot…..pray and Praise…..Love each day like its your last…..and do at least one nice thing for a stranger each day, we don’t give to receive gifts or money, we give to receive the satisfaction and love in return :) It actually feels so good to give of your time or maybe just a smile….it becomes contagious :)

OMG!!! how could I forget part of the best news…my secret!!! On Feb. 9 2009 I weighed my highest weight ever 225.

Today Feb. 23, 2009 I’m down to 220.6  Almost 5 pounds in 2 weeks!!!!! LIFE IS GOOD GOD IS GOOD   Love you guys!!!!!

So much sadness, we need lots a love and prayers today

Good Afternoon Buddys.  Today I was planning to write an  upbeat blog….a bit of bragging you could say.  Some good progress and bad habits erased, but as I read the blogs yesterday and today  I felt so sad, I changed my blog idea for today.

I see so many struggling, so many family losses,  unemployment, spouses working far from home,  homes lost and the list goes on and on.

I can’t begin to list names of those I see hurting and needing  prayers today, but I’m hoping everyone can pull together….hold hands….pray hard….and help our buddys get through these rough times.

A few blogs stated…live life to the best– its way to short.  My dads words exactly, and I think he is a very smart man :) He’d say “Jane you only pass through this way one time, so be happy “  I love my dad :)

I have this beautiful glass box filled with beautiful scriptures and sayings.  Each day I pull out a new one.  Todays was so fitting for the blogs I’m seeing, I want to share with you.

Its Monday morning, February 16th.  Can you believe Spring is just around the corner  “biting nails”  are all ready to step out in our shorts and bathing suits “bites nail even more “  LOL!!! Well I’m not and I admit it, but I know one thing I’M ON A ROLL BUDDYSLIM!!!!

This time is the time.  We’ve quit smoking, quit drinking, quit coffee (never drank much anyway) and trying to quit Diet Coke (which really isn’t a problem)

Water is my best friend, followed by fruit juices.

Grapes, Bannanas, Clementines, & Apples are my buddys too :) Love celery & carrots with fat free Ranch dip  (only 35 cals for 2 tablespoons)  looking forward to fresh fruit and vegetable season :)

I’ve found the motivation and desire to get er done  LOL!!!

I have a new schedule (I need routine) and I’m sticking to it.

I’ve mainted this week weight wise, but have exercised everyday (except the weekend).  Off to a good start, up at 8:30 a.m., drink my orange juice, read my bible with my beautiful unique bookmark :), Walk or ride for 20 mins, drink my morning shake, and then ONLINE….COMPUTER ADDICT I AM  lmao!!!!!   Tried to stay away, and I’m limiting my time online still.

So how are all my BUDDYS???????????????  Everyone still pushing along….learning more tips, gaining new friends, enjoying life the good lord has given us, and are you all SMILING!!!!!!!Royalty-free Clip Art: Yellow Emoticon Face Laughing Really HardIf your not smiling…..then START SMILING!!!! it raises your metabolism, and will stop those awful frown lines :(   not this  –  but this :)

Its Monday!!!!!!!!  Not usually our happiest day of the week, but for me it is :)  Its been a rough couple of weeks, but things have settled down with the kids and now its my husband’s and my time.  YIPPEE!!!!!!!!

After watching Channel 8 Today show, they had a short segment on losing weight in the new year.

They said support is key to success, but we all know that. Thats why we are all so thankful for BuddySlim.   A big SHOUT OUT to BuddySlim :) and most of all a bigger SHOUT OUT to Dr. Marc :)

In particular they mentioned couples support.  If you all have a spouse or significant other, would they be willing to take the journey with you?  Even a best friend, or a new friend you meet at the gym.

BuddySlim is necessary for us to get er done, but someone one on one can really help!!!!

Sooooooooo tonight is our night.  Today I’ll start, but when Alan gets home he’ll get in on the exercise time.  We plan to sit and plan all meals together.

With a bike and a treadmill, we can exercise together and we plan on competitions which will jazz things up a bit!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So…all my tresured buddys………….find someone at home to buddy up with in person…and ALWAYS remain in our close family of BuddySlimmers.

Take today, make it yours.  Find time for you because YOU are so important.  Theres no one out there that can decide your goals, only you.  You know what you want, lets all just jump in head first!!!! We have so many hero’s here to learn from…so many new people wanting to join in, life just doesn’t get any better then this :)
