Scales are not a woman’s best friend
Hello special buddys out there. Well its FRIDAY!!!! thats enough to put a huge smile on your face.
I found this adorable picture as I was logging into BuddySlim. I’m not one to take others pictures, but as I checked out her profile page, she joined April 21, and her last log in was April 21. So I figured I could use her picture.
My scale is not my best friend these days :( I have to get a handle on this night snacking. My husband and I are working hard on changing this habit. We both love celery and carrots with ranch dressing, so I think this alternative would be the answer, its just sticking to it.
Well I hope everyone has had a successful week, and wishing a happy and blessed weekend!!!

what a cute pic!!!
it portays that at even any age, it might take us girls a buddy to have the courage to step on the scale. HA! happy friday
Well, THERE you are buddy! I’ve been missing the hell outta you… Was just about to jump in the truck and head to Michigan. LOL
Now you knowwwwww I dress just like that every time I step on the scales. Yeah, right…
Plain popcorn makes a great snack too. Fills you up fast, and if you concentrate on just eating ONE kernal at a time (hard to do I know LOL) you don’t eat that much of it. And bonus… it makes you THIRSTY so you will drink your water!
C’mon Janey girl. I need you around for a long time. Let’s make healthy choices, k? Don’t make me come up there! *smiles*
Huggggggggggggggggggs,
Shan
Hi Jane! BIG HUG and thank goodness for Friday.
Jane, about 41 days ago I started a personal challenge of no night time grazing. It took about 30 days to adjust to not eating at night.
I hope you and your hubby do make a change and get rid of night time snacking altogether. It can be done and I know you guys and do it.

The Ranch dressing can be a trap (fat and calories) so you might want to test drive low-fat dressing. I have a bottle in my fridge, and it really tastes the same to me. I love carrots and ranch dressing!
The picture is oh so cute. And the scale is not my friend either. I am maintaining, but I do not feel optimum, so we know what to do…..
Jane, I challenge you and myself to not eat at night unless it is veggies for hunger. I also will eat a little yogurt if needed as I find I sleep well with a little extra tyrptophan. But it gets out of hand, doesn’t it? So what do you say? We can start with one week? No pressure, only if you want.
Have a fun weekend Jane. I Wii Jenn will be thinking about ya! HUGS….
Healthy eating and movement… oh I think we can do it!
Night snacking? What about all day snacking? I think you are doing a good job, carrots and celery, yummy. i can only eat so much of it though.
Remember even if you don’t have good snacks every night it is better then having bad ones all the time..We can do this…..
Oh yes that darn scale is not being friendly to me lately either but maybe that’s because I to am having a problem with that night time snacking last night I felt I could eat the whole fridge but instead I ate 2 sugar free popsicles. Do watch out for those loaded calories though try low fat or fat free something with lower fat calories. I wish us both luck! Sounds like we need it.
Hi Jane! I am with you on the night time snacking! It is a weakness of mine as well have you tried that 94% fat free popcorn? I find that helps a lot because I like the idea of mindless snacking every so often and I can do that with the popcorn…(of course since I choose that snack for that purpose it really isnt mindless…LOL But don’t tell ME that…LOL)
I love that pic!
Hang in there - you can do it…just gotta find the right alternative for you and hubby!
Night time snacking is certainly no ones friend.
I think that is a great idea Jane as long as you don’t drown it in Ranch dressing and try to stay with the light stuff.
I also think that you shouldn’t eat it every night. Maybe every other to start off and then make sure you have one night a week as your “free” night.
I also like to snack on popcorn. You can cleear a whole bag for a little bit of nothing as far as calories are concerned.
Hmmmmm….don’t forget how healthy some nuts are as well. I will be back if I come up with any other ideas.
I know EXACTLY what you mean about not the night eating!! Ouchie—-it’s 8 PM here and I’m going to bed at 11 PM, I’m starting this new rule where I will NOT anything 3 hours before bedtime–wish me luck!! I wish you luck too darling ’cause this has been my downfall this time around!! Hang in there!
You can do it Jane!

The picture is tooo cute!
The scale is not moving in any direction for me, and while that is good to not be gaining….it’s frustrating. I know that I havent been doing every thing “right”. Lets get it right though-ok? Lets not be like the rest of the population that GAINS weight during the holidays!!!!
