Twas the day after Christmas, and all through the house, every creature was hurting–even the mouse.

The toys were all broken, their batteries dead; Santa passed out with some ice on his head.

Wrapping and ribbons just covered the floor, while upstairs the family continued to snore.

And I in my T-shirt, new Reeboks and Jeans went into the kitchen and started to clean.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter, I sprang from the sink to see what was the matter.

Away to the window I flew like a flash, Tore open the curtains, and threw up the sash.

When what to my wondering eyes should appear, but a little white truck, with an oversized mirror.

The driver was smiling, so lively and grand; The patch on his jacket said ” U.S. POSTMAN.”

With a handfull of bills, he grinned like a fox.  Then quickly he stuffed them into our mailbox.

Bill fter bill, after bill, they still came.  Whistling and shouting he called them by name.

“Now Dillard’s, now Walmart’s, now Penny’s and Sears.  Heres Levi’s and Target’s and Mervyn’s — all here!!

To the top of your limit, every store, every mall. Now chargeaway-chargeaway-chargaway all.

He whooped and he whistled as he finished his work.  He filled up the box, then turned with a jerk.

He sprang to his truck and he drove down the road, Driving much faster with just half a load.

Then I heard him exclaim with great holiday cheer, “ENJOY WHAT YOU GOT…YOU’LL BE PAYING ALL YEAR!!!”

Do you see that cookie sheet full of freshly baked chocolate cookies??????? do ya ??? do ya???

Now I know you really want one BAD….now cmon, admit it

Well I’ve started my Christmas cookies, finally.  Chocolate Chip being a favorite in my family and an easy cookie to make was my choice for the day.

Wooohhhh  I am stuffed, I made about 5 dozen or so…..and ate at least 6  OMG!!!!!  of course I had to have milk to.  Bad Bad Girl.

Think I will bring them next door and stash them in my Dads freezer to avoid the temptation.  Now the problem is we were clobbered last night and most of today.  I believe the last forecast said 8 inches and high snow drifts.  Not sure I want to venture out into the cold, I’d prefer to sit right here in my warm comfy office with my computer!!!!! OMG!!! I’m such an addict.

Oh well…….now remember when making your cookies….small samples….not 1/2 dozen like me!!!

I have been having such a hard time posting comments these past 2 days.  I’m getting so frustrated because you must be thinking I’m not there, but I am there.  I know Anj had contacted Dr. Marc, and there will be changes.  But for now, please buddies, remember you are all in my heart and thoughts everyday I’m wondering if we all checked our folders we would find comments just waiting.

I have some good news.  This morning was the meeting with the disability lawyer.  He was very quick to take my case.  He explained if we didn’t win, I would owe nothing.  If I win I will pay him a fine.  He also said he doesn’t take cases that he doesn’t think will win….makes sense.

Problem is there are 9 judges.  He’s seen them all and knows them well.  2 out of the 9 never NEVER approve.  So now I’m over hurdle number one…the lawyer is 100% on my side, now I need to pray harder for a nice judge.

It will probably be 2 years before our court date, that is how backed up the system is.

Not doing to well on my Ojuice, V8 and 1 sensible meal.  Going through a bit of depression I guess, but I’ll be back on track with Gods help.  Never ever lose faith my dear friends….remember when one door closes, another opens.

But the Fire is so Delightful (wait a minute we don’t have a fire)  LOL….well you know how the song goes. 

Yup….in the middle of a blizzard here in lovely Michigan.  Snow is coming at the house sideways, huge wind  gusts and icy roads.  Guess I’m staying home for the day

I was supposed to take my daughter and the baby to the docs, but we cancelled that at 7:30 this morning.  I HATE SNOW!!! My absolute favorite dream is to have a winter home in Florida or South Carolina I’m getting too old for this cold crap….”huge sigh”….thank goodness my brother has a plow on his truck, and our driveway is always clean and for free  hehehehehehe “big cheesy grin”  LOL!!!

They say walking in the snow, or on the beach burns more calories then regular walking.  If I could dig out my boots, I’d bundle myself up and walk my property line.  We have about 1 3/4 acres, with hills.  I do love the looks of the snow, just not the driving in it

So I’ve been doing well with my shake, Orange Juice, and V8 Juice and 1 sensible meal.

I do take on all the challenges I was given. about the nightly munchies…but it really makes it difficult when my husband breaks down in the grocery store and buys this 4 pound box of chocolates (the cheap ones, Zachery).  He loves them and gets them every year, problem is he had a box only 2 weeks ago, and its gone.  He also picked out some other chocolate and its all on the dining room table.  I’m going to have to lock it up and put in our safe.  CANDY IS THE DEVIL…..GGGGGRRRRRR

I did pick up some healthy garden salsa and Tostidos, which isn’t bad if you only have a few.  That will get me through the crunchy, salty, and spicy cravings.  And all in all pretty healthy.  Also got more celery, carrots and still need lowfat or fat free Ranch.  We also found some beautiful clementines and I love them.  Nice and small, sweet and hits the spot. 

I’m convinced in time I will learn as you all have that eating before bed is the WORST!!!!!!!!

Hello special buddys out there.  Well its FRIDAY!!!! thats enough to put a huge smile on your face. 

I found this adorable picture as I was logging into BuddySlim.  I’m not one to take others pictures, but as I checked out her profile page, she joined April 21, and her last log in was April 21.  So I figured I could use her picture.

My scale is not my best friend these days :(  I have to get a handle on this night snacking.  My husband and I are working hard on changing this habit.  We both love celery and carrots with ranch dressing, so I think this alternative would be the answer, its just sticking to it.

The buddys that know me well know my strong faith in our awesome God.

At times I seem to stumble and fall out of his faith, but I always find my way back.

Today as I’m reading blogs, there are so many sad and hurting blogs.  I want so bad to see a peaceful happy world, but it will always have its ups and downs. 

If we would just all join together and prayer for our buddys in pain, or full of saddness,  feeling letdown.  I believe in PRAYER IN NUMBERS IS STRENGTH!!!

I also want to acknowledge those of you as you progress through your journey to health, and how PROUD I am of you.  How PROUD I am to be a part if it.  You are all amazing.

After all this time of yo-yo dieting, I’ve finally found a balance of eating that works for me.  I’m really excited because this plan is one I can stick with and it is heart healthy.

My doctor wanted to prescribe Potasium pills.  If anyone has ever seen them they are like horse pills.  I said….no please, isn’t there another option.  He said if you promise to eat foods with Potasium you can skip the pill.  Some foods which are healthy, oranges, bannanas, V8 juice, potatoes etc…..

So here goes the plan….TA DA!!!!!!!!!!!!

My healthy protein shake in the morning.

Big glass of orange juice or a fresh orange mid morning.

Big glass of V8 juice (low sodium of course) lunch time.  Maybe some carrots and celery also.

A sensible dinner at night.  Wa La!!!!  this works and I’m confident if I can stick to this the goals will be met.  YAHOO!!!!!

And thank you Shanna for suggesting a typing job from home.  I didn’t enjoy the Medical Transcription very much, but I am looking into home typists in my area.  I’ve already submitted one application!!!

Hello BuddySlimmers :)  Hope all are well today.  As I read blogs, I can see some people struggle.   I’m sorry but we are all here for you!!!

Last night my husband and I attended my “little sisters” Christmas Concert.  It was so much fun, remember my son is 21 so its been a longgggggggggg time for me.  I laughed I cried…I tapped my foot and just had fun. I stepped down from being an official Big Sister, but haven’t forgotten Katelin.  I’ve been to her birthday party, she’s been to Angelas baby shower, we’ve talked on the phone.  I will stay in touch with her forever

So at the concert they sang songs from Charlie Browns Christmas, The Grinch, and one of my favorites…”Grandma got run over by a reindeer”  Molly which is Katelins friend has down syndrome. She was all dressed in a pretty long green dress, she didn’t do much singing but she brought tears to my eyes.  These are gods children…and each so precious.  But my Katelin, she was just a singin away!!!  So after the concert my Husband wanted to go through a fast food.  He was hoping Kentucky Fried Chicken, and I said maybe we could just find something at home!!!  I did it, I did resist the tempation.  One day at a time.

They say Cyber Monday, the sales online are incredible. I’ve tried both computers in my house and they are just dragging on Just wondered if maybe its all the shoppers????

Oh well, I got in….TA DA !!! still having trouble commenting on some blogs.

Was everyones Thanksgiving a good one!!! Did we all eat healthy, or did we cheat a bit.  Which ever is fine.  Taking a day off is a good thing

Myself, I ate responsibility.  I didn’t want that “overstuffed” feeling I have every year.  You know the feeling where after dinner you sit in your fav. recliner and fall fast asleep?  Just to wake up and see the mess in your kitchen!!!!!

We went to my daughters after “our” Thanksgiving….. for pie and coffee,  I had a teeny tiny sliver of Pumpkin pie.  I think I’ve had my quota for the year  LOL!!! funny how you wait sooooooooo long for something, then you become sick of it!!!

Did anyone find the courage to shop on Black Friday?  My husband did.  Up at 3:00 a.m. in the car by 5:00 just to get a special buy on batteries.  Can you believe this???????????  LMAO…..1.99 for 30 batteries….yup he really did.  He also got a tool that was more then 1/2 off.  He waited in line with about 1,000 people (he said)  had to park about 1 1/2 miles from the actual store.

Guess back when I was healthier, I would have loved it.  But for now I’ll save my shopping until a couple days before Christmas and the Christmas bonus comes in
