Candy Candy Everywhere!!!! We bought some for the kiddies, but now its gone somewhere!!!!

We bought some more and locked it all up  LOL!!! No more Trick or Treats for us this year  hehehehe

Oh my Buddys, the Temptations of the holidays  “sigh”   Candy for  the Ghosts and Goblins, then comes Thanksgiving….Pumpkin Pie, Turkey and food galore.

Christmas……hold on tight.  We make Christmas Cookies, give cookies in tins, make candy/nut baskets for all of our friends.   How can you NOT nibble on all these yummy goodies once a year??????

So, I’m asking all to join a big circle of strength and faith, that this Holiday season, we can all have a “few” goodies, but not to overdue.  All the temptations will be rough, but lets think of our health and on New Years Day, we’ll feel  so much prouder and healthier.

Happy Halloween to all my buddys out there.  To all the little Trick or Treaters, please stay safe and have a fun time.

Love you guys!!! Woops, Shanna, if you read this, I’ve decided to be Dr. Jeckyl this year….boooooooooo!!!!  gotcha!!!! LOL!!!

I’m joinin’ ya in that circle Jane! Trying to figure out how I’m going to make it through Trick or Treat tonight is bad enough…then you got me to thinking about all the other holidays that are right around the corner!! You know what though? I started on this journey January 4th of last year. I have made some amazing changes in 2008. Not just with weight loss. I’m NOT letting the next two months ruin everything that I have worked so hard for!! Thanks Jane!

Lucky for me, my kids don’t “do” Halloween… so, I’m off the hook till Thanksgiving-clear-through-to-Christmas-and-on-to-New-Year’s-Parties. YIKES!

The hard part for me comes next week, when all the orange and black candy goes on sale :( it’s on sale… stock up, right? Gotta be stong.

Just when I was feeling strong again, I read this blog and I am chewing on my fingernails. Good news is, my son decided NOT to trick or treat this year so no candy! Where we live there are no trick or treaters, so no candy! LOL! Thanksgiving in Canada was last month, but my son says it doesn’t feel like Thanksgiving in October, so we are doing Thanksgiving in November as well—it should be interesting since I’ve never cooked a Thanksgiving meal—we shall see. Also DH works that night (again, it’s not a Holiday here—maybe, just maybe I’ll ask him to ask for the day off). Anyway….Christmas should be ok too, my parents and sister will be visiting—-I think my saving grace this year will be that I am unemployed, so I won’t have the temptations I used to have in the office, when all my attorneys would bring goodies!! That’s ONE thing I am looking forward to NOT getting this year!! I agree Jane, let’s wrap our arms around one another and form a circle of strength!
