Its Been a While
Wow, it seems like forever since I’ve blogged. Seems like BuddySlim is just filled with new people.
WELCOME NEW PEOPLE!!!! You’ve picked the best place online. The buddys here are terrific and the support as well.
Its been so crazy busy this week, I’m only to check in for a few minutes at a time.
My son Jon is now moved into his apt…..as of Saturday evening Oct 18th..YIPPEE…YAHOO….WOO HOO…..SINGING OUT LOUD AND DOING JENS HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY DANCE “whew” that one tired me out LOL!!!
Well haven’t been very strict with the eating, but now my house is empty….at least for a short while, not sure if my youngest son will come home or move in with a friend.
I started back on plan today. When I saw my pictures of myself at Disney World, I wanted to just throw up. How gross…..why did I ever let myself get this way? I’m sure a lot of ask this question alot.
But you know what????????????????? Its fixable…and with patience and determination WE CAN DO THIS.
I’ve watched people here lose so much weight, you can’t even recognize them in their before and after pictures…YOU ARE SUCH AN INSPIRATION TO ME!!!
Ok, off to make dinner…Making fish, any ideas on how to make a healthy baked fish dinner? I’d love some suggestions and I’ll use them next time .
Sending love and blessings to you all

I like Jillian’s Grilled tilapia, you can find the recipe on NBC.com, I think. Is my favorite.

I sure missed you!
Yes, with patience we CAN do this. And that applies to more than weight loss. Thanks, I needed to read that! Love you, Kama
I’m glad you’re checking in and that things are falling into place Jane, you deserve some peace and quiet in your life. As for the weight-loss struggles, I hear you loud and clear—you and I have been on the same page many times and there’s no doubt about it, losing weight is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do in my life—we seem to get comfortable with it until we see pictures of ourselves and OUCH, there in front of us is the reminder that we need to step up to the plate and start making real changes or be resigned to a miserable life—which again, isn’t so bad UNTIL you see the pictures! You know Jane, I’ve seen you go through your ups and downs and you’re still here, fighting—one day at a time—we’re going to do this Jane, I’ve told you many, many times before—you’ve never given up home and that my friend, is half the battle, the other is discipline, consistency and determination—and a belief that THIS time, you will achieve your goals—I can’t wait until you get there—God knows it’s taken us awhile!! Now hang in there and let’s move a little closer to our goal, waddayasay?? And about fish recipes–I like to bathe my fish in lime juice, add garlic and garlic salt or in your case maybe Mrs. Dash for a low sodium alternative…slice up some tomatoes, put it on top and bake away baby!! It’s yummy and low fat—the other way I like to bake my fish is with lime juice but instead of garlic salt, I put Cajun spices—it’s in the spice isle and it gives it a spicy kick—if you’re into spicy, I highly recommend this—now is that THAT spicy, so give it a try!! Let me know how it goes!! Love you lots and I’ve missed you TONS!!
I said:
you’ve never given up home
And what I meant to say is
you’ve never given up HOPE
Oooopps!!
Jane, thank you for sharing your light and your love. You are such an amazing Buddy and I am so glad you blogged. Enjoy your yummy fish dinner.
I like things simple. I think baking fish with a little lemon juice and herbs is just the best. My fave herbs are dill and rosemary (fresh). I really do not like the crusted, dipped in flour and egg and fried. That is how my mom did it and that was ok then, but simple seems nice now.
I did fry my salmon today, but I cooked it on the stove today with just a little water in the pan. It was delightful once I seasoned it with a little pepper and lemon.
Biggest hugs Jane! Let’s do this for ourselves Jane. When I read your blogs I really want to be and do my best. We can do this Jane. Truly, truly we can. Thanks for sharing your words with me today.
Just think how much healthier you will feel when next meet Mickey Mouse
Good to have you back ! You are right it is fixable and you can do it! Thanks for the support on my blog! Hugs to you girl! Kimmi

Youre not gross…youre BEAUTIFUL! Hope to see you here more now
Miss Jane, first of all. I seen your Disney pictures and I think you look just beautiful! Secondly great job on getting Jon moved out and on his own.
Thirdly, I sprinkle mine with either a bit of cajun seasoning or lemon Mrs. Dash and throw it on in the oven.
