Big Sister/Little Sister update
Hey buddys, its Thursday!!! Almost made it to the weekend.
Just wanted to stop in for a minute and say hello to all. Hope you all are having a wonderful day
I do have some sad news about my little sister. Right before I went in the hospital (Aug 08) her father was arrested. He will be in jail for quite some time. Then I got sick and went into the hospital. A couple of days later her only friend she had in the trailer park was killed by a drunk driver. This poor child has had such sadness. Being mentally impaired, its even harder for her to comprehend.
Unfortunately, I felt like I should step down and let the organization find someone healthier that could do the weekly visit. I am so fatigued some days, and she likes to be active.
I am however keeping in touch. We still have our scrapbook to do, and I’m invited to her Christmas Concert!!! I can’t wait for that.
Another thing happened. Got a phone call from Meals on Wheels. I had signed up there to volunteer a while back.
I didn’t feel I could do that either
Makes me so sad. I want to have the energy and stamina I used to have
Oh well….we all should be thankful we are here RIGHT!!!!!!!
So goodbye for now….peace and love to you all. YOu are the best buddys a friend could have ![]()

So sorry to hear that your little sister has gone through so much. I’m sure though that just being able to keep in touch with you will make a big difference in her life. There are other things you could do to volunteer that would be so energy consuming. Check out your local nursing homes and bingo halls. Your joy and sunshiney attitude should not go to waste.
I’m feel so sorry for your little sister especially in her state of mind. I hope her dad gets out so he can be there for his daughter. I’m sorry to hear you’re stepping down but it’s the best decision for you and her.
I admire you for setting aside your time and energy to help a great organization such as Meals on Wheel.
Have fun and have a good day.

Oh Jane I am so glad you had to the courage to what you felt was best. You know you best. I think that young girl is lucky to have such a great lady to do crafts with. I can not even imagine keeping up with those little munchkins. You remind us all to remember what are capabilities are. It is best to slow down a bit and enjoy the time instead of rushing, rushing, rushing….only to fall down exhausted.
Take care Jane. *hugs*
Jane , I just want to say thank you for investing your time with someone so special! Although you are not able to do a lot right now I think she knows in her heart that you are there for her! You will be able to do other things in the future when you are better! so do not be discouraged! Hugs, Kimmi

So sorry to hear about your sister! I will sure be praying.

Please don’t feel bad about what you can’t do. You have blessed so many on here including myself! Love you!

I’m sorry that you are unable to help out your favorite causes, it’s quite noble of you, but of course, I wouldn’t expect anything different from such a wonderful lady. See Jane? See how much we all need you? I know I’ve said I’m selfish and I am….so continue on the path to better health, so I and those of us who need you can continue to enjoy the wonderful joy of having you in our lives!! Hheheh!! See? I told you I’m selfish!! LOL!!
