A Walk with Joyce
has really woke me up today!! First off, I’ve missed BuddySlim sooooooooo much these past few days!!! I’ve really gotten behind in my mail and the blogs. MIA!!! help!!! LOL!!! but I’m back for a bit anyways. Life seems to be overwhelming right now, but in a really good sort of way
I love Joyce Meyer….somedays I feel like she is talking straight to me. As I was walking on the treadmill today, Joyce told gave me an important message.
I want to share this. She said “Stop trying to fix problems you have NO control over” “Stop feeling responsible for EVERYONE elses problems” Put that extra stress into Gods hands.!! I’ve been famous for preaching those exact words, but lately find myself trying to FIX everthing!!!
After my walk I felt so much better, not the just the walk, but the message.
Hope everyones July 4th weekend was fun…and healthy. For those of us who made a few “not so good” choices, its ok…No beating yourself up. Its a new day, a new chance to make things all good again!!!

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall life you up.
James 4:10
Be humble by realizing you need Me.
Depend upon Me and I will exalt you and honor you.
I will make your life significant.
All of life blessings and all of my love to my special buddys here at BuddySlim.

Sounds like a great walk - healthy & inspiring!
Thank you Jane for sharing that with us, once again you have inspired me. I so love your spirituality and the honesty of it. You sure do practice what you preach and that is evident in your love of life, love for everyone with no exceptions! Love you sister Jane.
I was just talking with my sister on the phone about this very thing! Control is a big women…esp for us women…who are married: )
Great timing!
Love Joyce too…she is like a spiritual mom to me! I saw her when she first started her ministry in 1996…and it was there that
I got filled with the Spirit!
I remember I was so hungry for God…I would sit outside on my lunch breaks to listen to her radio broadcasts. For a long time, I couldn’t figure out if she was a man or a woman: )
When I heard she was coming…I took vacation from work to go…and I would literally run from my car into the meetings.
My friend and I talked to her and told her she was like a mom to us…she was so sweet & gracious, she even mentioned how our words encouraged her when she got up to speak: )
LOL big woman…I meant big one: )
Wow girl - your blogs are so wonderful. And I’m not just saying that. You really are a special lady.
Thank you for sharing your words of wisdom with us. You rock!
I am a wanabe fixer upper, but it is such a relief to let go! Thanks Jane. Glad you are enjoying life and I can see you smiling
*hugs* & *smiles back at you*
Jane! I’m watching you. You better be studying…. LOL
Joyce Meyer is one smart cookie (diet cookie).
I bet when you are watching and walking, it doesn’t seem like you’ve walked that long does it?
I’m a fixer too. I can’t stand for people to be unhappy, especially in my own household. I’m in the process of learning to step back and let them work it out on their own. It’s harrrrrrrrrrrd (whiney voice).
Miss ya girlie. Us busy women, there’s just no rest is there? lol
Hugggggggggggggggggggs,
Shan

I think I need to read Joyce Meyer. I am getting so frustrated by stuff I can’t fix. Love your walk, and love you, Jane!
