A Blog A Day
is said to be therapeutic :) I believe in it!! Do you?
Something about putting your feelings or thoughts down in writing. Something about writing down your goals or plan of action. Something about “reading it outloud” after writing it. Something about sharing it with your buddies and receiving their comments, responses and encouragment.
It just seems to work for me. Accountability….thats the word. We need to be accountable to ourselves, but so many times we slip and fall. By coming to BuddySlim I’ve found myself more “conscious” of everything concerning my health! This is a GOOD THING!!
Thank you buddies for helping me to be “Accountable” for my actions. Thank you for sharing and teaching me your little tricks in the healthy journey of life
Stay strong in Faith, stay focused on your journey and we will ALL meet our goals

You are a child of destiny. God is orchestrating and ordaining your steps and your life—-if you are yielded to Him.
Carlton Pearson
Even every one that is called by my name; for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.
Isaiah 43:7

totally agree with you girlie. Even just blogging about nothing really helps. You usually find that within the stream of consciousness you types, there’s an idea that will inspire someone else, or that will make you realise something you didnt before, when you read back over it and peoples responses to your blog.
I feel the same way. I am a writer by passion and hope by trade one day. I have found over the years that when I put my feelings out in writing I am better able to deal with them. It is a form of venting, that is what phsycologists get paid for, to be vented on. They dont really give you answers they just direct your conversation to reveal what is bothering you and getting you to let it out. Then you can deal with it and work it out-personal experience.
I believe it. I can’t wait to blog every day!
I don’t blog everyday, but that’s just because I don’t have that much to say. Unbelievable isn’t it? But I can tell you what is therapeutic to me is reading your blogs! Love ya Jane!
Beautiful Blog! I also love to express my feelings in the form of writing. for me it is easier. I find some times when I open my mouth it just comes out wrong!! Also, nothing feels better than being reassured that your feelings are being shared by others!
I share the exact same thoughts as Estel. Wow! that is weird how mother and daughter can be so much alike in their way of thinking. I guess that is why they say, the apple does not fall far from the tree!Luv Ya! sista!
Your blog is great and today’s post really hit home for me. I agree with having to be accountable. That is one of the main reasons I came to Buddy Slim. I love blogging about my day or what my expectations are for the day, then reading again the next day to see if I failed or accomplished my goal. Thanks for the reminder and the support!
Jane, have you started walking on your treadmill? How about the Y? Are you going there with your husband?
I love this blog, it’s reassuring, confident and full of gratitude. I am a bit hesistant to blog every day because I found myself becoming obsessed, so I am trying to find some balance.
Today I catch up with my buddies, and maybe I’ll blog tomorrow. This is working for me for now. You’re right, we are learning a lot from eachother on this site. And we are learning about ourselves as well.
I’m happy that you seem to have found a happy place too!
You know me Jane. I so worry about your heart and see the direct link between exercising and making your heart stronger.
You are needed in this world and you just have to work out to stay here longer, for your kids, grandkids, for everyone.
Amen, accountability is what has kept me honest. Made the difference to me, knowing I would share with you all. Great blog!! Love you!

Yep! Accountability and getting it out there - so important and so healing. Love to hear what’s on your mind and in your heart always!!!
