The Day After

Good Morning Buddys!! Yesterday was a fun filled day…non stop with the baby and Dads first Dr. visit out of the rehab facility. Was exhausted last night, slept like a baby
As I was getting up to go to bed, I felt so sore. All my leg muscles were tense and aching. As I thought about “why would I hurt like this, was it the flu”? LOL….Heck
no!!! I was playing for 6 straight hours with Talan!!! LOL!!!
He says Grandma clear as day now, and all day it was “Grandma sit chair” or “Grandma sit floor” Well it was the floor that did my legs in. I used muscles I haven’t used in a long time!!! But its all good, I feel great this morning and look forward to their move which will put them only 15 minutes away..YIPPEE!!!
Dads appointment at the Orthopedic Doctor went well. My brother and I both went along for support.
Eating is going absolutely wonderful. Stayed on plan, except for a little popcorn, no salt and some artificial butter spray. Low calories, I just have to learn h0w to get past this night snacking. Its about to do me in …Can’t have that!!!

hey girlie. I was a divil for late night eating too until I gave myself a cut off itme of 8pm. Now I make sure I’ve finished my last morsal of food right on the button of 7:59pm! It really works. After a week or two (maybe three) you wont know yourself
Hey ((((Jane)))) You sound so happy today! Rubbing off on me girlfriend…
Squats is what you did with Talon, you just didn’t realize it. LOLOLOL He’s now your #1 trainer!
I’ve got a cure for that late night snacking.
1. Turn the TV OFF.
2. Go to bed EARLY.
3. Read until your eyes get droopy.
4. Turn light off and go to sleep.
Works like a charm.
Big HUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGS,
Shan
Glad to hear your dad is doing better! And, I totally agree, sleep is also my way of keeping away from any late night snacking…although I stayed up a bit late last night…I kept my trusty giant-sized cup of water by my side…so I could catch up on some of the shows I missed over the past few weeks…LOL
It sounds like you had a blast with Talan yesterday! Aren’t little ones the best salve for the soul? Remember, no pain no gain, lol! don’t know what to tell you about the late night snacking. I was really bad with that too, I would go to bed, sleep for about an hour and then get up and have a banana or something and then go back to sleep! Ugh! So, if I woke up craving something (or just wanting to eat) I reminded myself that if I did that then all the hard work I put into the day is going out the window. That seemed to help. Have a great day!
What a sweet Grandma to play that long!! Not all Granny’s are that attentive.
It’s good to hear so much cheer in a blog!!
as usual, read buttercup -she’s got in going on! but so do you!!!! so glad you are doing well. hope dad is ok. enjoy that 2 year old workout
for me, night time snacking is back now that i am pregnant, but i am limiting. when i was losing weight i would only eat carrots for snack. hugs!
What a wonderful Grandma you are to get down on the floor and play with the little one. Soon he will be playing the Wii
Snacking at night is also preventing me from getting to goal though I am not sweating it anymore. Slow and stead… or slow! But I know something that often works (not always) is to brush my teeth right after supper. Have a nice herbal tea and that is it! It works about 75% of the time.
Keep playing hard
Hugs…..
I’m glad to know that dad is doing so much better. And Jane, thanks for the sweet comments and e-mails you have left me. Please don’t be concerned…I know you’re a good friend and I know your heart is pure. Yes, it’s true, I have been down lately, but I know in my heart of hearts that God is with me and that I have the love and support I need to keep moving in the right direction. Thanks for your wonderful friendship and may God bless you always!
P.S. Haven’t heart about your little sister…or maybe that happened a few blogs back. When I fall behind I only read the last blog and I have a lot of catching up to do. Also, I read that you have been very busy, please make sure to take time out and do something fun for yourself!
Love your energy! You sound so happy, glad dad is doing well, too.

I think I need to check back on your blogs when I get time, you take care, and I’m still praying for you!
Glad to know dad is much better and how cute is that with TALAN smile!!! You sound so much better and trust me popcorn is much better than cookies and icecream lol lol Sorry so late on answering blogs took a me day to get hair done and just relax a bit. Talk with you later….Heather is missing in action didn’t open the bank this morning….start praying ugh!!!
Gosh, every time I read about your physical activities Jane, my day gets very bright. Every time. Because I know that moving makes your heart stronger. Your heartbeat gets stronger and little Talan just has to listen to it when you hug him for many, many years to come.
Jane, even if you are moving with Talan indoors, make sure that you have good shoes on for support. You may hurt your knees and your back if you walk barefoot a lot.
Go grandma go, with Talan as you exercise coach you will soon be melting off those pounds. I like the popcorn butter spray idea, I hadn’t thought of that. thanks -Dee
