Finally after a long wait I’ve been matched up with a little sister!!! The first one fell through, she was a little 7 year old.  This girl is 12 years old.  I hope I’m ready to support and encourage a 12 year old, not to sure what to expect of 12 year olds today.  I did get some history, she has 2 older brothers, 1 in college, not sure about the other….her father works second shift and she is sad she doesn’t see him often, her mother is extremely overweight affecting her health and ability to do things with her daughter.  They welcomed the idea of me as the big sister…YIPPEE!!!

Sooooooooooooo the official meet date is April 29, Tuesday at 5:00 p.m.  The worker from Big Brother/Big Sister will meet me at my littles house and together we’ll go in and meet for the first time.  I’m beside myself!!! I’m soooooooooooooo excited!!!  Her name is Katelin, she has trouble reading, but excels in every other subject.  She too has weight issues which really tells me we were meant to be a team.  I’m hoping we can help encourage and motivate each other

On a totally different subject, I followed a  different eating plan yesterday and did wonderful.  I felt full of energy and more motivated then ever!!!!  Until about 9:00 p.m. while watching tv I had this incredible craving for Tomato Soup….GO FIGURE!!! of all things to crave, so off I went to the kitchen.  Hubby and I had a small bowl before bed.  I told myself it was ok, I usually snack on high fat/high salt snacks before bed so considering all this was a healthy alternative

This weekend is going to be a fun filled couple of days!! I’m so looking forward to my daughter and son in law and my sweet baby Talan to come spend the day on Saturday.  Maybe they’ll bring my other son Jon, wouldn’t that make it complete :)   

Unfortunately there washer broke so they need to do laundry….but thats ok I get to see them and thats the icing on the cake.  They are getting ready to move in the next 2 weeks.  They will only be 15 mins from my house so I’ll get to see the baby more often!!!!

We are going to see a play called “Rumours”.  My husband works with one of the stars so we are looking so forward to this!!! We are calling it our date night Aaaahhhh!!!! LOL!!!  We’ve seen a couple other plays with the same actor, and he is awesome.

My weekend eating plan is all set and I’m ready to stick with it.  I hope everyone will have the best weekend ever.  We are looking at high 60’s here..YIPPEE!!! and sunshine!!!!
