Just a Few Words
Morning Buddys. Just stopped in for a couple minutes. Getting ready to see Dad in the hospital. My brother and sister - in - law go in the morning, my husband and I go for dinner. Works out very well.
Dad lost quite a bit of blood throughout the surgery so they have gave him 2 pints. Hoping he is feeling better today, yesterday he was very fatigued and out of it
He will probably be transferred to a rehab facility to relearn how to walk. I’m worried about the whole picture, he is so weak and so old with many medical conditions.
But we are staying strong in our faith, trying to keep a smile on his face and just follow Gods guidelines here
Eating wise has really been a challenge. I have not stuck with South Beach very well and I’m only hurting myself. I have to figure a way for my husband to eat healthy and still be in a hospital for supper time. Grrrr…there are some good choices in the Cafeteria, but maybe I’ll consider making food and bringing it with. They did offer us a micro and fridge for food.
I’m hoping you all are having a wonderful weeend. The temps will reach 50-60 here in MIchigan. Can’t wait toget out and enjoy it!

Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God.

The LORD is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in him.
Nahum 1:7

I will keep you and your dad in my prayers. Take care of yourself.
don’t be hard on yourself if the food plan isn’t quite right, your dad is the most important thing at the minute. I have found it difficult to get simple foods at hospital cafeterias, which seems a bit odd really.
maybe you take some food from home, nuts, cheese, fruit, a sandwich..
I will be sending good thoughts your way
Oh Jane, sure praying for you! You are such a strong woman of faith! Love the awesome verses, too!

I would say maybe it is a good idea to bring your own food? That is awesome that the hospital has facilities you can use. But at the same time, don’t be too hard on yourself, with what you are going thru, I just do know that taking good care of yourself during these times is so worth it, your family needs you to be the best you can be!
Your dad is so lucky to have some a wonderful daughter! Love you and hugs, Kama
((Hugs)) Thinking about you. Just keep your eye on a healthy you and you can be there for your dad. I am sure there will be slip ups, especially at stressful times like these, but you are a strong woman.
Thinking about you……stay strong for your Dad, your family and yourself.
Hang in there. You are on the right track as you can never go wrong when you put your trust in the Lord. -Dee
Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers!

(((HUGS)))
You’re going through a very difficult time Jane and I don’t blame you one little bit for your diet to be the last thing on your mind. I too fell off the wagon, flat on my face. It’s hard, so don’t be hard on yourself on anything, just be there for dad, comforting him as best as you can. Hang in there!
I’ve not been around much but I’m catching up on your blogs… I’m sorry to hear about your dad’s hip, and I’m sending your family my very best. Hang in there - things are sure to look up soon. Hugs!
*prayer go out to you and your family Jane*
I think that taking meals is a wonderful idea to take care of your loved ones and yourself as you deal with this stressful time. Take care
Enjoy the nice weather and breath deep
*HUGS & Flowers*
I am SERIOUSLY resisting that chocolate kiss *wink wink*
Jane, even 10 minutes of walking while you are at the hospital will do you good.
Hugs,
Tatiana
