Please Pray with Me I ‘m so Scared
This is not my normal happy upbeat blog today. I’m fighting the tears as I write my situation to my buddys.
Last night on our trip to the Lawyer, Hubby, myself and my Father we had an accident. My father was walking in the parking lot and his left leg just gave out from under him and he fell really hard. I didn’t see (thank goodness) but I heard him hit the pavement.
It took 3 of us to get him up and he was unable to stand on his leg, the pain was excruiciating.
The lawer called 911 and within minutes everyone was there. By 5:45 p.m. we were in the Emergency Room. Ex rays concluded the hip was truly broken. Dads addmited, I’m crying like a baby because my Dad is in pain. He’s always so strong, but this time I see and hear the pain. My heart is breaking and I feel totally helpless.
Dad hasn’t eaten since noon, we were planning on going out for dinner at Sams Joint, so he was really hungry. I kept trying to get the poor man some ice water. Its like you are asking for gold….he only needed a drink.
So I called at 8:00 a.m. for a surgary schedule, she wasn’t sure since they added him on. I’ll call again around noon and see. The surgary will probably be late afternoon.
I need all the prayers I can get please please my dear buddys. I believe prayer works in strength and numbers. My dad is a gracious, loving man and it is killing me to see him in pain. I’m leaning on my husband and you BuddySlim family to get me through this.

Keep positive thoughts going…I worked for decades in the retirement business and was always amazed how quickly some of our residents bounced back from a broken hip. Some in their 90’s were actually up and around in a matter of weeks! We’ll all be sending good thoughts and prayers to your family.
Sorry, but I just thought of something else, be grateful that you were there with him and we wasn’t without help.

YOU stay calm, k? You’re dad’s gonna really need your strength right now. You can fall apart later on my shoulder, but right now, be there for him. I know you will. You’re strong that way. One of the things I admire most about you.

My heart goes out to you! My Father and I haven’t spoken in years(result from years of sexual abuse), so to hear of a wonderful Father/Daughter relationship is welcomed! You have something very special and is worth more than all the riches in the world. I too believe in the power of prayer and will ask God to relieve him of the pain he’s going through and hold you all in his arms, comfort and give you strength during this time of need! God Bless!

awww jane it is such a shame to see the dramatic change from yesterday’s blog.
it is horrible to see our parents in pain. my dad suffers from arthritis and it makes me really sad knowing how much agony he is in some days just walking up the stairs!
we will all be praying for you and your father but he will be ok hun! just stay strong for him and you will see him come happily out the other side of this! x

Awwww, My poor Jane. I am so sorry that your Dad was hurt. I know how hard it is to see a parent in pain. I feel for you both. I will keep you all in my prayers. Think positive thoughts. We are here for you.

So sorry to hear your dad is in such pain. I will pray for your dad and for you. With all of us praying you should be able to feel a comfort around you and your dad. Prayer in numbers does wonders. Keep us updated on your dad. Hang in there, all willl be ok.
