This is not my normal happy upbeat blog today.  I’m fighting the tears as I write my situation to my buddys.

Last night on our trip to the Lawyer, Hubby, myself and my Father we had an accident.  My father was walking in the parking lot and his left leg just gave out from under him and he fell really hard.  I didn’t see (thank goodness) but I heard him hit the pavement.

It took 3 of us to get him up and he was unable to stand on his leg, the pain was excruiciating.

The lawer called 911 and within minutes everyone was there.  By 5:45 p.m. we were in the Emergency Room.  Ex rays concluded the hip was truly broken.  Dads addmited, I’m crying like a baby because my Dad is in pain.  He’s always so strong, but this time I see and hear the pain.  My heart is breaking and I feel totally helpless.

 Dad hasn’t eaten since noon, we were planning on going out for dinner at Sams Joint, so he was really hungry.  I kept trying to get the poor man some ice water.  Its like you are asking for gold….he only needed a drink.

So I called at 8:00 a.m. for a surgary schedule, she wasn’t sure since they added him on.  I’ll call again around noon and see.  The surgary will probably be late afternoon.

I need all the prayers I can get please please my dear buddys.  I believe prayer works in strength and numbers.  My dad is a gracious, loving man and it is killing me to see him in pain.  I’m leaning on my husband and you BuddySlim family to get me through this.
