New Exercise Workout ~~ Fun For All

Happy Monday Morning Buddys!!! You’ll never ever believe my weekend!!!! Bet you can’t guess what WE GOT!!! LOL!!!!  I’ll give you a little hint “giggle giggle”  its fun, you get a little bit of a workout, its family friendly……can you guess??????????? LOL!!!!

Yup…you got it..its a Wii!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  We got up at 4:30 a.m. Sunday morning because we were told they would be on sale at Walmart beginning at 7:00 a.m.  We arrived in the parking lot at 5:45.  We looked around, lots of cars there but only 1 car had people in it.  There was a walker right next to the car with the people in it :)    Right away they are declared the “walker people”  LOL!!!  We watch a few more cars straggling in, they are probably there to get their Wii game system as well.

At 6:45 a.m.  all of a sudden the “Walker” ladies get out of their car.  I yell ALAN GO!!!!! My hubby jumps out of the car and is 2nd in line. The line continues to grow, and at 7:00 sharp, they all walk in single file back to claim their Wii!!!

I mozy on in after the line has vanished and watch as my dear husband purchases our first Wii game system.  I’m sooooooooooooo excited and delirious (neither of us slept, we were up from midnight on  LOl)  .

You can only image how horrible we looked, so sleep depriven.  But mission accomplished!!!!

We did not stop for breakfast instead we went straight home.  I couldn’t stay awake and had to take a little nappy.  So I did, got up at 11:00 to find my husband with this huge smile on his face.

We bowled, played tennis (best workout, you actually get your heart pumping) golfed a bit, my son did the boxing, daughter in law tryed baseball.  We played this silly game all day, but we had such quality time together as a family!!!

I cooked a healthy meal around 3:00 and after that back to the Wii!!

Between my husbands birthday and our little getaway on Friday night, to our little adventure to purchase our Wii game system, I’d have to say this was byfar one of the most fun weekends we’ve ever had..LOL!!!

I did good on the eating…although today I will focus 100% on Phase II of Southbeach.  I will get this weight off, it might take longer then I’d like but It will happen!

Wishing everyone a wonderful Monday!!

HOW SUPER! I never knew they would be so good at getting your heart rate up. My kids have played at friends and loved them. I may have to do me some research now and use the excuse with hubby that it’ll be beneificial for the entire family to have one. we can get healthy! hahaha, sure would beat watching them just sit in front of the TV watching stupid cartoons.

That is just awesome!!! What a great way to get in some family time and a workout.

I love Phil. 4:13…it has been a HUGE motivator to me this past year and is one of my most favorite bible verses. It’s nice to read it again here.

Way to go on the purchase of the Wii. I had to read part of your blog to David as he plays the Wii as I read. very good investment. I love tennis and bowling the best. My score in bowling 266 and I am looking to improve….hehe. Love boxing as a fantastic cardio workout :)

that sounds like such a fun little caper just going to buy it and then all day playing with all the family - so fun! glad to hear that! go for your goals, jane, even if it takes time it will happen! i am still a fan of the 1-3 pounds off a week mentality. it will add up! and it will stay off easier that way. set little mini goals - five pounds at a time. just my 2 cents (where is that cent key on here LOL)

Wow…I guess I take the Wii system we’ve had for over a year for granted. You see, I am one of those weird people (it seems) that believe video games are the work of the devil! LOL  I hate that my DS plays with those dreaded things and that my DH allows him to do so ALL DAY LONG! Whenever DS slips up, be it at school or at home, the first thing to go is the darn Wii. Guilty as charged, I have never played. The only thing I’ve ever used it for is to view pictures. Seems like people really enjoy it! Glad you got it and maybe one of these days, when I am feeling particularly open-minded, I’ll ask my boys to teach me to play a game or two.

Sounds like you had a fun-filled weekend!
