Bloopers ~~ Blunders ~~ Slips ~~ and ~~ Slides
Grrrrr…so so disappointed with myself these past few days.
I haven’t been a faithful Southbeacher
We’ve only made a couple small mistakes but the scales say we’ve done worse. On Tuesday we were watching Biggest Loser and for all that watched remember the popcorn part. Yup 100 calorie popcorn by Orville Redenbacher. The temptation was overwhelming as I’m missing the salty crunchy snacks.
Off to the kitchen I go, one for my hubby, one for me “sigh” how bad could that be? A few minutes later my hubby comes out of the bedroom with a big cheesy grin across his face and says “Honey you want a peep” (leftover from Talans basket) I wanted to throw something at him, but of course I quietly said, “it won’t hurt’ and had a 1/2 of a marshmallow peep.
I guess it could be worse, I haven’t dropped out of the club but I sure am making things harder. I’m so impatient and want Phase II to arrive, I’m so sick of meat Bllahhhhhhhhhhh.
I think I might become a vegetarian!!!
I didn’t want to let my partner Jo and all the other Southbeachers down…..so I’m just babbling here. Had to get it out and down on paper. Could have just disappeared but don’t want that. So I’m going to give it my all, I may do some improvising to get through this.
I guess no matter what eating plan I finally find is a fit for me will work as long as I’m conscious of everything I eat. I’ve learned one important thing about South Beach. You become so aware of everything you put into your mouth. My entire outlook on food has changed and for me this is AMAZING!!
So all you brave smart SOUTHBEACHERS…I say ROCK ON…..Lose those pounds….GET HEALTHY!!!! I’m still here, just call me a half a SouthBeacher for now. :) Love you guys!!

True faith is always in Someone–in Jesus, in what He said, is saying, and in what He is doing.
Reinhard Bonnke
This righetousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe.
Romans 3:22

Hey there buddy! You know, I was reading about you all and your south beach and I almost had myself convinced it was for me. I researched it a little bit yesterday and realized I’m just not the kind to follow those kind of restrictions for even two weeks! So kudos for you for comitting to it. Slip ups be gone!! LOL! Have a great day!
You go girl! You can do it.

I am not on the South Beach, but I have gone back to journaling my food. Boy does it make me more aware and accountable for everything I put in my mouth!
Just hang in there you can do it!
HUGS
See? Not all is lost. You are learning, and that is a BIG step to making lifestyle changes! South Beach Phase I is HARD, and you cannot cheat or it will not work. It is designed to get your body away from craving the sugar and refined carbs and get it to digest foods the way they should. Phase I is not for everyone. However, I WILL push on Phase II, cause it is, in my opinion (and you know what they say about opinions) just a healthy way of eating for LIFE! And you WILL lose weight on Phase II. So, my dear buddy, give yourself some wonderful fruits and whole grains and ROCK ON! However, step AWAY from the peeps… lol
Huggggggggggggggs,
Shan
Hang in there, Jane! Perfect you don’t need, healthy habits you do! I believe that total deprivation just leads to cravings, so it’s a tough set up. What’s so great, it seems, is that SB is limited deprivation - only a few more days to go. And, Jane, try and only worry about letting YOU down - no one else. YOU are what is your main focus! YOU YOU WONDERFUL YOU! And, i do get that, i feel bad if i don’t have good stuff to write down in my cardio/walking challenges, but in the end it is me and my body and mind that i have control over, you know? hang in there!
You can do it! Leave the peep behind you. YOu can do it!
I knew something was awry because I hadn’t seen you on the forums…this too is my M.O. when I am doing something I am not very proud of, but the scale ALWAYS makes us face the truth, doesn’t it??
Look Jane you have not disappointed me, and I UNDERSTAND, I too wanted the popcorn and in fact had it in my pantry—so I know what it’s like. The difference is that my DH didn’t bring it to me and I am too lazy to go get it myself! LOL!!
Get back on this horse my friend and I am here to help you up!! We can do this and never shy away from the site, from me or from our forum!
I love you Jane!
hey jane, we all mess up, it’s just part of the process unfortunately. don’t get yourself down about it, you are certainly not alone. use this as a learning opportunity - you know how crappy it makes you feel so will be less likely to cave next time! it is definitely working for me. aim small: go for a positive, proud blog tomorrow and see how much better it makes you feel
Hang in there, we all do it. Hugs to you!

Hey there… south beach IS HARD.. but you can do it… not to make slip ups good or anything … but my sister did the “Body for Life” its a 12 week plan.. that you can compete in.. you take your mesearements and pics and at the end do the same things,, and she ended up being in the top percent of people and actually won some stuff… but my point here actually is, that on that plan he had 1 day a week were you could eat whatever you wanted… but after a couple of weeks of that though you felt horrid eating it so you started eating healthy even on your ‘off days’ … but she did great! point is… you arent going to gain back 10 pounds from having an off day.. just get back on the next day and keep on going !!
Your doing great ! keep your chin up …
