Today is the Big Day!!

Its Monday morning :)  Today is the day, the big day, the first day into my journey of healthy eating, yet once again.  But what is different about today?  Well this time I WILL SUCCEED!!!

I want to wish my buddy Jo best of luck on her first day of South Beach.  Also to all my other buddys who are following South Beach.

I also want to thank everyone who took time to help me understand and learn about the South Beach Way.  Thank you for the recipes, the food suggestions, etc.  Couldn’t have done it without you.

Was  a horrible weekend here in Michigan.  Starting Friday about 2:00 a.m. the bathroom became my best friend :(  Sick with the flu, need not give details.  Now today, Monday morning I’m left with a nasty head cold.

Come to find out my grandson was coming down with the flu on Thursday when I was visiting.  I only pray my father doesn’t pick up this bug, because its a tough one and he is still so very weak “sigh”

Up this morning at 6:00 a.m

  • Coffee 6 ounces with splenda
  • 7:oo a.m. 6 ounces Low Sodium V8 Juice
  • 9:00 a.m. Egg Beaters with Green onions, Canadian Bacon & reduced fat cheese

So far so good :)  Lunch will probably be a big salad with South Beach Ranch dressing and some turkey breast.  Dinner is planned….Chicken Breast grilled, fresh asparagus, small salad and sugar free jello for desert.  I’ll have 8 ounces fat free milk, my hubby prefers his ice water!!

Wishing everybody a good day…a Happy St. Patricks Day to all!!! LOL!! We had our corned beef and cabbage yesterday, I only had a couple bites, too strong for my poor stomach!!

I’ll need all the prayers I can get!!! Carbs have been my very best friend all my life.  I’m hoping I don’t show my “other” side :(  This will be a challenge for me to stop the breads and potatoes, but I’m sure with my buddys and Gods help I CAN DO THIS!!!

God channels all the power of heaven through the authority of the believer who knows the rights and privileges that belong to him and are found in the name of Jesus.

Bob Yandian

On the basis of faith in His name, it is the name of Jesus which has strengthened this man whom you see and know; and the faith which comes through Him has given him this perfect health in the presence of all.

Acts 3:16

You will do it Jane and you will be amazed at the results. Now the first week don’t expect big numbers but that second week…wow! SHANNA was a big help to me as TASHA so if you have any questions they are the experts but stick to it my dear sweet buddy and hey you’ll get those ABS back soon (it shrinks belly fat first) by depleting so much sugar from your system! I am excited for you!!!

As I told you in private mail, sorry about that flu, and sending you cyber chicken soup and kleenex. Feel better soon my friend.

I can feel your excitement over your new game plan, and I’m excited for you. Your meals sound really good too! I do want to mention, unless they’ve changed this diet since I bought the book, milk of any kind is not allowed in Phase I. This is due to the high amount of natural sugar in the milk, and Phase I is designed to rid your body of the sugar, thereby changing your metabolism and how your body digests things, and get you off the sugar and carb addiction. I’m not going to lie to you. The first couple of days are hard. They were for me anyway, but afte that, you get the hang of what you can and can’t have, you get creative with what’s allowed, and the sugar and carb cravings go WAYYYY down. So stick with it, K?

    Big squishy HUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGS,
    Shan

I’m super excited for you and now I’m worried because Shan said we’re not allowed milk…truth be told, I’m a bit confused on a lot of things, and I’ve read the book. The good news is there are enough people on SB here to guide us!! Like I said, I’m thrilled for us! Please let me know how day one goes!

I too hope dad doesn’t catch the bug and hope you feel better soon!! Sucks to start SB and you’re not even feeling well!!

My breakfast was sauteed mushrooms, spinach, canadian bacon and scrambled eggs!! YUM!!

Lunch was a salad with chicken breast and SB ranch dressing! Had some Laughing Cow cheese for a snack and I’m about to have my afternoon snack!! So far so good!!

    Love you my wonderful friend!!
