Help Please!!!

PerfectoNow that I am learning this Carbohydrate way of eating, I need all the help I can get !! LOL!!! I’m hoping some of you out there have some tasty recipes with low carbs?

How about some suggestions  on low carb snacks?  I’m such a snacking kind a gal..LOL!!

The dietician gave me a limit of 174 gr. carbs per day with 1500 calories.  OUCH!! doesn’t sound like much, but I was able to do it yesterday. YIPPEE!!! and even walked on the treadmill.

The weather as been dangerous last few days so we haven’t been able to go to the YMCA since Sunday :(  thats ok because I’ll still use my treadmill here.

Ok..any recipes, suggestions would be so appreciated!! Thanks everyone!!!

Roll up fat free turkey slices with low fat swiss cheese…

cottage cheese with snack pack sugar free jello…

canned tuna mixed w/1 tsp lite mayo and 4 chopped up walnuts…

low carb yogurt w/sliced banana or fresh strawberries or blueberries and sprinkle with couple walnuts chopped up….

Any fresh cut up veggies with low carb ranch dressing (Southbeach brand dressing is good)

You stick to the meats and dairy (low fat) and FRESH veggies and fruits, you should be able to stay within your carb limit.

They also make some good whole grain low carb flat wraps that you can use instead of bread for your sandwhiches and stuff….

    Now I’m hungry… lolol

I’m so proud of you Jane. I’m betting that you are already feeling a little better, even after one day. :)

    Hugggggggggggggs,

    Carbs are my enemy too… it’s a love/hate thing and I just can’t seem to live without them. I’m a carb-ivore.

One thing I loooooove is cucumbers with a bit of low carb Italian dressing…. mmmmm! They are so filling and yummy!

Oh no! We’re at the end of the alphabet!!
Pork rinds—low carb snack! Of course, you have to like them and if you don’t, well….I guess it would be a horrible choice!

With your heart problems they are limiting your carbs so that you lose weight? At that number you will surely lose and that will be good news. But do they mention that you should stay away from the saturated and hydrogenated fats? I also feel very healthy when I eat at around 1500 calories.

Fish, fish and fish… fish is awesome for the heart and now I bet you are not thinking it is a snack. LOVE tuna, salmon and shrimp cocktail. YUM

Damn damn double damn and damn damn again (hehe… my 93 year old client says this)… ALL I CAN THINK OF IS CARBS! Sorry I am not much of a help..hehe

    Hugs to you Jane. *HHUUGGSS*
