Nothing comes easy

GraduationAt least not for me!!! LOL!!! I reached a huge goal today.  Unfortunately it wasn’t a weight loss, but its as important to me!!!

When I took my final right before Christmas, I missed it by 1 point.  I was so humiliated and disappointed in myself I decided not to share.  I did a lot of crying and soul searching.

How could I miss?  How could I fail?  Whats wrong with me. Its not like I HAVE to be in school I CHOOSE to take this course.  I had a little talk with myself and after a HUGE pity party I got serious into the studying.

I’m proud to say this morning I took the final exam again and I passed with a 84%  YIPPEE!!!!

Now I can move onto the next course which is actualy transcription.  I’m sooooooooooooooooo excited!!! I feel more confident now…and therefore my healthy eating will fall into place also.

I did get on the treadmill yesterday (only 15 mins) but I was glad to make that first step!

Thank you all for your kind and supportive comments on my blogs…also for my booster notes and kind messages.  I love you guys!!!!

Alphabet Soup for the Soul

Letter D

Day:  Each day is a generous gift from God. Daily affirm these biblical words: “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24).  Recite those words each day when you wake up.  Repeat them whether you are happy or sad, whether your life is good or whether you are weighed down with burdens.

Congratulations for passing! I am thinking of going back to school and I am scared to death so I know what you mean about not wanting to share your results from the first test. I am glad you didn’t give up though. Shows that you are a strong woman. Good job on taking the first step and getting back on the treadmill too!

    (((((((((((Jane)))))))))))!!!!

Soooooooooo pleased and happy for you! You know, my husband took his professional engineers exam after 4 years of internship and failed by one lousy point. It through him into the depths of a huge depression that he just did not want to crawl out of. If it hadn’t been for a good friend that went through college and internship with him being here, I don’t know that he would have tried the test again. But he did, and his friend badgered him into studying and he passed on his second time around. There’s no shame in failing. There’s only shame in giving up. You didn’t. THAT makes me SO happy!!!!

Love your alphabet by the way. Every time it’s gloomy and raining I say out loud “today is the day, etc. etc.” Now my kid says it before I get a chance to. LOL

Great job on studying and passing the test. Now onto another course!

Jane, there are many things that we try to connect to food… strange connections, right? Like failing a test and eating, arguing and eating, not having sun during winter and eating… Anything that happens we medicate with eating. I wish we would invent something different…
