Just a Cold Snowy Evening

Seasons Greetings here in Michigan.  Brrrr…lots of freezing rain and ice coming down.  Unfortunately my husband has an early morning (8:30 a.m.) doctors appt. about 45 minutes away….Grrrr…don’t want to go!

Haven’t been behaving myself these past few days.  Not sure why, life is good just a bit busy.  Seems food is everywhere lately!! Guess its just the holiday season, but the temptations seem harder right now.  But its ok, I’ll get back up again…I might keep falling but as long as I get back up I’ll win this battle.  WE ALL CAN WIN THIS BATTLE!!!

I did spend yesterday all day making Christmas cookies.  I still have alot more to make.  We love to give Christmas Cookie plates to our families and friends.  They really look forward to it.  This year I tried my hand at making homemade chocolote covered peanut butter candies.  They were “ok”….my daughter in law loved them!! LOL…but remember she is pregnant and loves ANYTHING with peanut butter!!!

So on this cold snowy evening, I’m hoping all my Buddys are safe and warm at home.  Enjoy yourself…smile alot and be HAPPY!!!

Don’t feel bad, having a hard time here, too. Plus it is cold and rainy out. Let’s just jump right back on and accept the fact we are human, ok? Hugs to you!

Is it the sress of all the holiday busyness or all the goodies to tempt us? I think I’m losing it. It was 74 here today in KY. That is crazy. Hugs, Marge

Reading your blog makes me grateful to live in Southern California. This time next year, I will be in Canada and having my first white Christmas…sounds good really, but living it is different I am sure.

You know, I’m getting so sick of the eating part of the Holidays! It sucks!! Our office hosted a dessert shing-dig today and really–what’s the purpose? Argh!! So sick of it already and we’re not even half-way through! LOL!! Ok, I must sound like a scrouge!

They keep saying we are supposed to get ice but only get rain. Drive safe tomorrow going to the dr’s. Good luck with the cookies!

LOL We had a balmy 72 degrees here yesterday. I never know how to dress any longer and it’s weird when you have to turn the air conditioner on during the day and the heat on at night. That’s Texas for ya though. :)

Your cookies plates sound like a fun present! This year I made gift baskets with all the canned stuff I put up… squash relish, muscadine jelly, pear preserves, and spiced pecans. The baskets turned out really pretty and I even through an ornament in each one!

Love and huggggggggggggs and sending you my woobie to stay warm under. hehe…

    Huggggggggggggggggs,
    Shan

I hear ya, ya feel a little obligated to make the treats that the loved ones love, but do you still love doing it??? I wish you all the strength you need to get back on your plan. It is tough now, so do not be too hard on yourself. Let’s just move, move, move.. ok ? *hugs*

Have a great day Jane. :)

I’m having a hard time too, but I’m glad you’re hanging in there. I’m a little jealous of your snow, seeing how I’m sitting around in shorts tonight. But, I know that if I saw too much of it, I’d be eating my words lol. I’ve been thinking of you!
