Lessons Learned
To everyone here at BuddySlim for sharing and teaching others through your own life experiences.
I’ve been reading and catching up on blogs for almost 2 hours now and the information is incredible! I’ve laughed, cried, felt angry, felt happy, you name it. We all try to get through one day at a time, we are all faced with different struggles in our everyday lives.
Somedays it seems difficult to really express your feelings on paper. There are no facial expressions or voice tones used. But overall I believe we are here to help others and find help ourselves.
I wanted to take a minute to thank the people here who have taken the time to give me encouragement and support when I so badly needed it. Also for the little kick in the butt…and the gentle nudges along the way.
Happy to say my husband and I are back on track with our walking. Last night we got in the car and drove to the High School in town to walk the track. Sadly there was a football game (Tuesday night seemed odd) so we parked at the Baptist Church and just started walking the neighborhood. I loved it!! we looked at all the different houses and of course had to offer our opinion and comments…LOL!! I’m so lucky to have such a fun husband….hes my best friend!!
We ended the night watching Biggest Loser and had a lowfat snack…Popcorn!! So overall I feel like progress was made today.
I hope everyone is having a happy and blessed day today!
If God is moving you into a new season, you will go out in joy and be led forth in peace… (Isaiah 55:12) You will not be angry, bitter or offended toward anyone. If you’ve outgrown the place you’re presently in, your departure will more than likely be marked by a mixtur of bittersweet emotions, including sadness and joy, excitement and uncertainty. Nevertheless, deep inside you’ll know it’s time to move on and embrace the new place God has for you.

Love the last part of your blog with the scripture. It’s a peaceful way of thinking about change and how to embrace it. Good day to you too!
Lowfat popcorn is THE best snack when it comes to wanting to just nibble on “something”… ya know? And I think walking a pretty neighborhood is so much more fun that walking a track. I love walking in the woods at my house whenever I get a chance. It’s so peaceful and I love the nature. Can’t wait for the leaves to start turning colors and falling.
Thank you for the Isaiah reference. I’m reading Isaiah right now and it’s been the hardest book for me to get through. Slow going. It’s my goal to read the Bible from front to back. I started out trying to do it in a year, but backed off because I found I was just reading through it quickly to get my scriptures in for the day instead of really absorbing it. It may take me FIVE years to get through Isaiah. LOLOL
Huggggggggggs,
Shan
P.S. Thanks right back at ya buddy!
You are doing so awesome! I am glad you and your hubby are back on track with your walking! I am so jealous of that! My hubby says we should do this and we will do that, but I do it all on my own. I won’t ask him again about anything to do with diet or excercise! I am still hoping what I am doing is going to finally inspire him to want to do it himself!

Have a good one!
Sounds like you and DH are in a good place and I’m happy for you. More often than not we hear about the misery of marriage and not the joys, so I thank you for sharing your good fortune with us. And thank you for sharing that scripture, it’s touching and enlightening!
