Working out is Working For Me!!
Day 2 of Cardiac Rehab..YIPPEE!! I’m excited and ready to walk out the door. The phone is ringing….do I answer it? I’m trying so hard to just ignore it…heck I’m half way out the door!! Can’t do it so I check caller id and sure enough it is my daughter.
She is at work, feeling really sick and wants me to pick her up and take her to the emergency room. I’m irritated to say the least because this is my second attempt at Cardiac Rehab, and it seems somebody else ALWAYS needs my attention. At the risk of sounding selfish I didn’t want to give up my workout today. I know my daughter and she tends to exaggerate a bit. But I thought about it and suggested she go to the emergency room in the hospital where my rehab is scheduled. She was thrilled and it worked out wonderful!
Angela got checked out….has bronchitis and sinus infection, I got my workout and we were able to spend a little time together!
Today was a good day for me. Can’t seem to get the eating under control. I woke up at 5:00 a.m. so hungry my head hurt. Started my day out with a Slim Fast, went back to sleep…at 8:00 a.m. had another Slim Fast…OMG!!! LOL!! Oh well….just gotta get back up…brush myself off and get back on the stick!!
Hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far!! Smiles all around

Your blog hits home for every mother or grandma in the world. When do we get to take care of us? But then there are people like me who have run out of young ones to wait on and spoil. So I am going to tutor elem. kiddos in reading. I think you found the perfect solution to your problem today, smart lady. Glad you got your Rehab in. Marge
I am glad you are liking your workouts. Glad you and your daughter worked that situation out! Good for you!!!
I know food is an important part of this, but so is exercise. You got one down, you will get the other. The food is what I struggle with to.
Don’t you hate when that happens? When you want to do something for you and then someone else effects you? Even though the other person could really have a true problem (like sickness) it always happens during “our time”. And it’s not like you wanted to get your hair done or nails. It’s rehab. Something you need. Oh well, glad it worked out for you!
Glad you got your rehab in and also got some time with your daughter.

Have a good one!
