Thank you all for your support and concern

Good Morning Tanny The sun is shining today.  I’m trying to get ahold of myself and find some direction.  Until I see my cardiologist on Tuesday I’m going to just kinda lay back.  Take it really easy, but still eat healthy.

Thank you all for your kind words and support.  Each one of you are so special and have helped me in many ways!

I hope everyone is having a successful happy day today.

Letter I –  Ignore the negative voice inside your head.  Focus instead on your goals and remember your accomplishments. Your past success is only a small inkling of what the future holds.

Determined to live healthy once and for all!

Yesterday was supposed to be a really good day for me. I had my chance to work out at the Curves type facility close to home.  I was geeked…got all dressed, grabbed my water and off I went.  Michelle (the owner) explained each machine and the concept of weight toning and building there.  I explained to her my heart disease and issues.  She told me we could do the workout for that day but I would need a Doctors approval in order to join.

I’m all good with that….So here we go……….not even 3-4 minutes in I’m feeling winded.  I can feel my chest pain (just like when I had my heart attack)   but I kept going, wasn’t going to give up so easily without a fight.  I did manage to make it around for 1 lap…how pitiful is that.  I fought back the tears until I got in my car.  What a sad sad day it was for me.

When I got home I immediately called my cardiologist and scheduled an appointment.  I refuse to give up, I will do whatever I have to do in order to get healthy.  If surgery is called for then fine, I’ve been there and done that a couple times.  At least I can still walk the treadmill at home, so for now I will faithfuly walk everyday.  I CAN WIN THIS BATTLE!!!

Today was weigh-in day for me, I did lose 1 pound.  I’m pleased…slow…and steady right?  LOL!!! Hope everyone has a day filled with happiness and blessings!

Letter H — Hope for the best and never forget that anything is possible as long as you remain dedicated to the task.

(Wow that letter is so fitting for my situation today)

Exciting Things Every Day!!

Got through Monday really well.  Took my Chapter 10 test on the Nervous System.  I got 100%  Yes yes yes!! was    Ballerina Jump Rope Aerobics very pleased with that!

This morning at 9:30 I’m going to try out a gym similar to Curves.  YIPPEE!! I’m really excited.  There program is supposed to be just like a Curves…..and its much closer, only 7 miles from my house!!

Alrighty then…leaving for now :)

Letter G — Grow.  Leave the childhood monsters behind. They can no longer hurt you or stand in your way.

Thank You For This Day

Monday morning, fresh start of a new week.

Weekend…not bad, made it through the breakfast buffet  Mouse with husband and Dad.  It was nothing fancy, I was worried about making wrong choices.  The food was only “so so” thank goodness. So I didn’t overeat :)

Sunday morning we were supposed to go out for Breakfast with my son and his wife.  We changed plans and settled for 4 iced mochas!! YUM!!! I know that was fattening, but oh well!!

Hubby and I had a YMCA tour.  It was very nice, we are still discussing this option.  Curves is offerening a nice signup fee beginning today.  I could still decide to go that route…Hmmmm, undecided as of now!

Hope everyone is doing good on eating and exercising.  And if not…just get back up, dust yourself off and START again!

D — Decide that you’ll be successful and happy come what may, and good things will find you.  The roadblocks are only minor obstacles along the way.

E — Explore and experiment. The world has much to offer, and you have much to give. Every time you try something new, you’ll learn more about yourself.

F — Forgive and forget.  Grudges only weigh you down and inspire unhappiness and grief.  Soar above it, and remember that everyone makes mistakes.

Wheewww….there…3 letters today..LOL!! I was behind in writing.

Love and hugs to all today

YMCA or Curves?

Thank you to the kind people here who have shared there  Spaz experiences with water arobics, curves and  YMCA.  So this morning I was on a mission!!  I had visited a Curves near me and feel it would work.   The sign up fee varies, right now its 145.00 sign up, then first monthly payment of 34.00 is due October.  As of July 16, sign up is 79.99 or 99.00 (she wasn’t sure) and first monthly payment of 34.00 is September.  Sounds doable…fun…just women…

BUT…I went a step further and discovered YMCA in Grand Rapids Area.  OMG…the variety of services they offer…I was amazed.  Of course with that comes a higher price. :(  150.00 to join  and 93 per household with 2 adults and any children living at home.

Soooooo……why not join YMCA with my husband so we can do it together!!! YEAH!!! now theres a plan!

Since we’ve quit smoking we’re saving 70 dollars a week…thats 280.oo a month.  Why not take that money and do something together!

I’m really geeked about the whole idea…so tonight I will share this info with my husband.

Hope all are having a blessed day.  Enjoy each one! Woops, almost forgot, it was weigh in day today.  Lost 1 pound…I’m grateful withall the cheating I did!!! I’ll do better next weigh in :)

Letter C today!

C — Create  a family of friends with whom you can share your hopes, dreams, sorrows, and happiness.

To Blog or Not to Blog!

 Hot Chocolate Good Morning….Coffee anyone?

Another day, another chance to make the right choices.  Feeling like I’m stuck on hold right now.  Thank goodness my husband is supportive of me.  Since he gained extra weight also (and he’s only 150) he has this bet going with me.  The first who loses 10 pounds is the winner.  Not sure what the “winner” gets LOL!!

Letter B today!

B — Break Away.  Break Away from everything that stands in the way of what you hope to accomplish with your life.

Something to Share beginning with the letter A

Hello buddies everywhere !!  Its Monday…..did everyone make it through the weekend good?  I sure messed up but    Rainbow oh well…a new day, a new start.

Peace Sign I wanted to share something that I Doveread on the internet.  I’ve enjoyed reading it….hopefully you will too!

Healthy Choices at Long John Silvers??

Be In Love Yesterday, my father kindly offered to take  Laughing 2 my husband and myself out for dinner.  I normally cook every night for my dad, he is 84.  Of course I was really really happy to have a break…..until he said Long John Silvers.  Don’t get me wrong it used to be one of my all time favorites but now I was dreading the whole idea of going there to eat.

I hopped on the internet to check their site.  I was looking for any coupons and checking the menu out.  Hoping for something healthy on the menu.

One choice…baked halibut, corn and coleslaw.  I thought about it….how good could it possibly be?  If they only had 1 item on the menu that wasn’t deep fried….I decided not to take a chance.

Ended up with the fish and chicken basket.  Only ate a handful of fries.  Totally not satisfied at all.  I actually felt yucky afterward.

It sure is nice to know those foods are becoming less appealing everyday.

So for today…I wish everyone the strength to make healthy choices and have fun with it!  If we have to struggle and work hard at losing weight…..maybe we can take on a different attitude and make it a game..

so GAME ON!!!!!  Hugs to all the great buddys here at BuddySlim :)

Testing, Testing all done! 82% :)

Oh my goodness I did it.  I had practicaly made myself sick the last couple of days.  My memory just isn’t sharp like it used to be.  I’m feeling 47 for sure and not liking it much!

Got to the library at 9:30, only took about 30 minutes to complete.  The girl who was my proctored was so sweet.  Now I can relaxe…actually not, I need to get back to the books.

I really messed up last night.  Pizza is one of biggest weaknesses.  So, off to Peppinos Pizza I go……………..2 pieces for dinner, 2 pieces before bed.  OMG…then after my test I had 2 pieces of cold pizza.  Eeekkssss…now I really know better but I’m not about to beat myself up.  I’m going to get back up, forgive myself, walk a few extra minutes to try and compensate and keep on my weight loss journey.  It took at least 10 tries to quit smoking and I accomplished that.  My hubby and I have been smoke free for 2 months now.  Thought I could never tackle that one, but did it and we feel great.  So the weight journey will be WON!!!

Hugs to all my good buddies out there.

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Turkey Burgers vs. Hamburgers

Wakka Wakka We made it through the 4th of July quite nicely. I decided to try Jennie Turkey Burgers.  I didn’t tell my husband or my father what they were.  We had the seasoned burgers, I asked how they like them and they said “Great!”  Can you believe a regular frozen hamburger patty is a whopping 330 calories! A turkey buger is only 160.  Major difference..and it tastes so similar its worth it!  Heart Healthy…Less Calories…..and yummy!!

Tommorrow is a really big day for me.  I will be taking my midterm test for my Medical Transcription course.  Since I’m taking my courses at home, I have to have a proctor for the exam.  Tommorrow morning at 9:30 I will go to our public library where I’ll be tested…..Please say prayers for me..I’m a nervous wreck.  I’m so sick of studying…LOL!!!

Hope everyone is having a positive healthy day.
