Weight Watchers Online

I decided to give it a shot…joined Weight Watchers online!! I’m pretty excited about it.  The site is similar to this except for the food tracking.  I choose to use the Flex Plan which allows me 25 points per day, and 35 points to use anyway I like during the week.  When you enter a food, it automatically converts to points.  Its easy to do.  They have message boards, but nothing like here with buddys.

My husband had his test yesterday morning.  He checks out just fine, thank goodness.  It was a rough weekend for him and me too! Glad its over.  We will go to his doctor and decide what is next. The increase in medicine seems to be working.  I get really tired within the first 1-2 hours, but once I get through that its all good.

I hope everyone is having a good week so far.

Letter — R  Relax..Refuse to let worry and stress rule your life, and remember that things always   have a way of working out in the end.

The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually fearing that you will make one.

My scale seems to be stuck!!

Question Mark My scale is on permanent hold!! I haven’t seen it go down in forever.  Guess I need to get better disciplined here and get back on that treadmill.

My poor husband will have that horrible test “the colonscopy” so he can only have clear liquids today.  I think I’ll join him and give myself a little jumpstart to the week.  God knows I need it!!

Hope everyone is well today…hope all the teams are working hard at their challenges!!

Letter Q — Question.  Ask many questions, because you’re here to learn.

Attention Big Brother/So You Think You Can Dance fans out there!!!

TV 1 I don’t usually blog twice in one day, but thought I’d remind the fans of Big Brother and So You Think You Can Dance that they are on back to back tonight!!! YIPPEE!!!

Big Brother is on at 8:00 then at 9:00 So you think you can dance.

Any other devoted fans out there?  My husband and I  love both of these shows.

Also one more thing…I was able to walk for 25 mins  5 mins jogging and no chest pain…Thank you God for that.

Have a good night!

More Medicine has to bring positive changes!

I’m taking the opptomistic route on this one!  Positive thoughts all the way….enough feeling sorry for myself.  I hate that.  So yesterday I took that awful nitro pill, had the headache I so remember and HATE.  Today I cut the pill in half, and whalla…..no headache!!! LOL!!  The increase in Coreg just makes me want to sleep.

That will be my biggest hurdle for now.  When I first came home from the hospital I was on half the dose of Coreg he wants me on now, and all I did was sleep…Uuggghh…can’t have that!

So one day at a time, I’ll figure this out somehow.  I’m looking forward to cardiac rehab.  Its as close to a gym as I’ll get for now…and my insurance will pay for it..YIPPEE!! I’m geeked about that!!

Hope everyone is doing well with their eating choices, and exercising.

Are the scales dropping and the inches melting away yet??

Hopefully so, if not at least we are trying to have fun learning this new healthy life…our lifetime changes will make us all much happier people

Its time to catch up on reading some blogs.  I haven’t been able to do much of that so I’m off.  Hugs to all the good people here!

Letter P — Play.  Never forget to have fun along the way.  Success means nothing without happiness.

Waiting for Answers

Whew..what a day “sigh”  an emotional roller coaster for sure.  I had my stress test this morning.  I was able to get my heart rate up to 144 but I was out of breath and in pain.  I saw a Doctor (not my regular) he said my test looked just like the stress test last year.  Last year they did a heart cath and found nothing.  So it sounds like a repeat of last year.

Hopefully we won’t do the heart cath…thats a horrible procedure.  For now he has changed my meds to a higher dose of Coreg each day and now a long lasting nitro.  I’ve have the long lasting nitro, stopped taking it because of the headache. I will see my doctor Friday Aug 3 to see if the meds have helped.

I did get a yucky feeling when talking to the doctor.  I asked him “could this possibly be my heart is so damaged?  and maybe this is as good as my life will get?”  He hesitated and said he couldn’t predict anything, but he wanted to see if the change in meds would make a difference.

I guess for now I’m kind of at a standstill.  I feel like I just want to sit and cry…and cry….

But I’ll just keep on keeping on and pray the medicine will work.  I know God has a plan for each and everyone of us, but days like today are tough.  I’m sure we all have had days we question our faith.  But we have an awesome God…and he’ll get me through this…and he’ll help all my buddys out there as well!

Letter O — Open your eyes and take in all the beauty around you.  Even during the worst of times, there’s still much to be thankful for.

Step One…Dr. Visit

Ok…here goes.  A big big test of faith.  With God by myside I can   accomplish   anything!!

The doctors appointment went quite well.   I explained my concerns on exercise and the effect it was having on my heart.  But most importantly, the pain I had while trying to do a good workout.  So we talked and he suggested first a stress test…ick…hate them…..then after that if surgery wasn’t needed he would recommend I join the cardiac rehabilitation.  You have a person assigned just for “you” and you are monitored.

After my surgery in 2004 I began this same therapy.  Due to my mothers end stage Alzheimers and my father not being able to care for her I was forced to quit the rehab.  I think I only attended 3 sessions

But its ok…..looks like I may be given another chance…YIPPEE!! I’m really excited.  I really need to get this weight off and I know exercise is needed.

So, tommorrow morning at 8:00 a.m. I will be taking the stress test…Eeeks…so early, and no coffee.  OMG!!! I’m a bear without my morning coffee.

So for now, hope all are having a good day…eating wisely, and exercising!! Have fun with it….enjoy your day!!

Dr. Visit tommorrow…

So far so good with my Monday.  Very peaceful and quiet….I like that.  I finished my Chapter on Cardio and passed with a 95%  Next is the Respiratory System.  Interesting so far, looks like an easy chapter.

Tommorrow morning hubby and I will go see the dr. at 10:00.  I have my list of questions ready..LOL!! he better set aside a good hour for me!!!!

Dinner is done and its only 2:45!! Lasagna…sauce made with Jenni-0 Turkey of course! I tried the Italian Seasoned this time, will let you know how it turns out!  Sure smells good!!

Hope everyone had a nice weekend, and I wish everyone a successful week!

Letter M — Manage your time and your expenses wisely, and you’ll suffer less stress and worry.  Then you’ll be able to focus on the important things in life.

No Baby Talan Today :(

Walking Home Crying Miss U Change of plans once again…no Talan today.  I miss the little guy…hes the sunshine in my life!!

Woohoo I woke up feeling this huge burst of energy!!! YIPPEE!!! When hubby got up we decided to go to the park and walk the trails.  There are a lot of hills, pretty flowers and trees.  Parts of the trail are sunny and some shaded.  We had walked another trail a couple weeks ago but it was full sun.  I think we have found our new weekend exercise together! He wore the podometer and it registered 2 3/4 miles.  Doesn’t seem possible?  but my heart was just a pumping…and I know there was definitely calorie burning going on today!!!

Letter L — Love   Let Love fill your heart instead of hate.  When hate is in your heart, there’s room for nothing else, but when love is in your heart, there’s room for endless happiness.

Nice Quiet Saturday

Its a beautiful Saturday afternoon here.  Its so quiet in the neighborhood, usually the weekends are filled with kids playing and lots of cars coming and going.

Hubby is taking a nap so I decided to stop in for a quick minute.  I did walk for 20 minutes this morning.  Not much, but its better then nothing.

We were supposed to babysit my grandson while my son and future son in law went fishing, but plans were changed and we will watch the baby tommorrow…YIPPEE!! he’s so much fun.  I think being a gramma is just about the best feeling ever.  Can’t even describe the love I have for my grandson.

Hope everyone is having a good Saturday.

Letter K — Know that no matter how bad things seem, they’ll always get better.  The warmth of spring always follows the harshest winter.

Classes Open for All — Label Reading 101

Happy Friday to all!! Sun is  Moodswings shining beautiful here in Michigan.  I’m looking forward to the weekend with my hubby….I’m sure EVERYBODY is looking forward to it!!

Well…I never realized how much time and work there is in reading labels.  Hubby and I go shopping often and since beginning this new healthy eating, we find ourselves in the grocery story twice as long as we used to!!! LOL!!

We both grab our reading glasses and were on a mission!! One of the clerks in the store walked by and said “Hey you guys are having way too much fun”!!! We were…its actually become fun.  Its a race to see who can find something yummy, with low calories, low sodium, low fat…etc…you all get the picture.

Were learning alot and feeling healthier together.  Hope everyone has success and lots of fun this weekend!

Letter J — Journey to new worlds, new possibilities, by remaining open-minded.  Try to learn something new every day, and you’ll grow.
